This is a very nice hotel at this price point. Our room was modern with nice decor. Breakfast was included. Basically 1 choice, eggs prepared per request, rice and beans, and fruit. The hotel does not have a restaurant/bar, just a basic breakfast. There are only 3 parking spaces - directly in front of the property. We were lucky to always have a parking space available. A parking ramp for pay is just a 1-minute walk down the street. All of the staff, front desk, breakfast waiter, and housekeeping were absolutely 5 stars! I forgot/left behind 2 pairs of Apple Airpods in the room when we checked out. I realized this at the airport. I called the hotel, and to my amazement, housekeeping found them and turned them into the front desk! This would never happen in the States. The front desk guided me to have FedEx pick up the items and shipped to me at my expense of course which I was happy to pay for. I received my Airpods 3 days later! I cannot say enough great things about Costa Rican people! They take "Pura Vida" very seriously and it is a wonderful experience! Thank you to all of the wonderful people at Rincon de Valle! …

Very poor service, rooms were not fully clean, even in pandemic time. No water bottles or refrigerator in the room, and the bar at the hotel was open until 2 am with loud music. No chance to sleep well here. They took over 30 minutes for a simple check in. Hotel in general not clean.

Than you, your comment allow us to explain that the hotel was during a different management during pandemy and gladly we had reinstall our our standards in every aspect. A pleasant quite stay and sleep is warranty now, there isn’t any noise from the bar, restaurant of any event and we obey the standard of work as silence as possible aware that a hotel is a place to rest 24 hours a day. We feel very sorry to know about your experience with the past administration and look forward to welcome as our guest in the future.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, the front desk was very helpful. Our room was cleaned and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, very healthy, authentic Costa Rican cuisine. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Modern lobby and restaurant. Breakfast was nice, especially the rice&bean! Location is good, entrance was guarded during the evening. The room was ok. For this price, it is a great value if you spend a night or two there in a roundtrip or after flying in/out.

Road Scholar is very particular about their choices of accommodations. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, the food was good. We came a few days early to enjoy San Jose before our group trip and found the location and ease of access to buses good.

Our room was modern and spacious. Staff was great, especially Marlena and the kitchen staff. They are knowledgeable and accommodating to the needs of orthodox jewish travelers. We would definitely go back.
