My husband and I stayed here twice. This hotel is excellent. The building itself is just beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained. Security features including an exterior gate and night doorman were appreciated. We also used their airport transfer service, timely and convenient.
Spent our first night in Costa Rica here before embarking on a fantastic private tour. Fairly quick transfer from the airport, despite the rush hour traffic. Speedy check in and enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the reception area (also used these when we woke extra early the next morning). Although the streets around seemed quite busy we heard no noise in the room. The room was comfortable, not quite to the style and standard of the public areas, but clean. Breakfast was good, for a buffet and available from 6am, useful for all the early tours! We didn't use the restaurant as we were too tired to appreciate it. I gather the pub next door (no connection) has a good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for a stay in san Jose.
Stayed at this contemporary hotel for two nights and can certainly recommend it. A great location in downtown San Jose, within walking distance from city's interesting museums (worth a visit!) and other sightseeing ‘points’; one feels safe and welcome here; business-type hotel rooms with comfortable beds (also with an option to make yourself a hot drink in a lobby). Indoor restaurant (plus a rooftop terrace with fab views) offer very good food and great cocktails (Spicy Margarita was a huge hit with my husband). Plentiful breakfast, everything was fresh and scrumptious. All staff to whom we had a chance to talk to, were very professional, helpful and friendly – thank you ever so much!
Stayed here for our first night before setting off and exploring the country. Was easy to get to from the airport and had a warm welcome from the staff at reception. Easy check in and went upstairs for a spot of light dinner we’re we had lovely drinks, some really nice and reasonably priced food and back down to our comfy beds. Even though the road outside seems busy you can’t hear anything from your room. Has a/c for the warmed nights. Very lovely breakfast with a wide range in the morning followed by an easy check out. Would happily stay again.
Very nice quality hotel with great service and locked parking area. In the middle of the museum district and very handy to visit the local sites. Has a wonderful inexpensive rooftop restaurant. It was so good that we saw no need to go elsewhere.
We stayed here as part of a Trailfinders tour around Costa Rica for 1 night. The hotel is lovely. The staff were all very accommodating. Room was large and very cosy. Breakfast was an excellent spread with lots of variety and tasty food.
The hotel is located centrally and just off the main pedestrian area so easy for walking around San Jose, shops and transport. The rooms are clean with AC but don't have a kettle or way to make a hot drink in your room but do have coffee facilities in the lobby. The reception is located on the 1st floor but does have a lift from the entrance. We didn't eat in the roof top restaurant but there was plenty of choices for breakfast and quickly topped up when items ran out. The staff are all pleasant and there is somewhere to store your cases if you need after booking out which is 12pm..
This hotel is not what you expect to find amongst the hussle and bussle of the San Jose streets. It’s modern industrial theme looks great and the staff on reception were really friendly. We told them our check out was early hours the next morning and they arranged for us to have a breakfast bag at departure consisting of orange juice, apple, a sandwich and banana bread. Really nice touch and we appreciated it. We ate at the roof top restaurant when it opened at 4pm which was amazing! Highly recommend but you need to make a reservation which you can do at the front desk. Really friendly staff again and the food was lovely. The downside to the hotel…the room was extremely noisy! The walls are practically made of paper and you could even hear the people next door using the bathroom. There was constant noise from the corridors of people moving around, talking etc and the noise from the street was like they were stood in the room with you. The room also had an empty fridge in and the noise was unbearable! It sounded like it was taking off every half and hour or so! I unplugged it in the end as it too only added to the list of reasons why we couldn’t sleep. For such a lovely hotel on appearance and food quality, the nights sleep was really disappointing and they need to invest in some serious sound proofing. Wouldn’t stay here again purely due to the noise issue.…
One night in San Jose. Staff was helpful and nice. Room itself cosy and quiet. Breakfast was exceptionally tasty containing everything one would wish to have, gallo pinto, bacon, fresh fruits and drinks. Coffee of course superior. Like to come back again.
Comfortable hotel with a variety of room options in downtown San Jose, about 45 minutes from SJO airport. Beds are comfortable, breakfast included, cute lobby filled with unique antiques. Staff is friendly very helpful. Rooftop restaurant and bar offer great food and and a comfortable casual atmosphere. Close to museums, culture, and nightlife. Definitely enjoyed my 2 night stay.
