We stayed here at the beginning of our trip in Costa Rica, we were greeted extremely well upon arrival, the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel was very clean, and well kept. The hotel rooms were a decent size and the facilities were good. Unfortunately very early the next morning so unable to comment on...

We stayed here for one night whilst passing thro San Jose. The hotel is in a convenient location, friendly staff, very good rooms, immaculate throughout. The hotel has got some great photos of San Jose from days gone by, so take time to stroll around. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel

Spent a night here on the beginning and end of my Costa Rican adventure and it was a fantastic way to bookend my trip. This hotel is beautiful in an old house. The staff is so helpful, welcoming and nice. They gave me great advice on places to run near by and how to get to the ATM. The rooms...

This property is a small, elegant boutique hotel in a central location of San Jose. Our room was small yet well appointed, and surprisingly quiet. Linens were nice quality and bed was comfortable. Both check in and check out procedures went smoothly. The staff were helpful and spoke excellent English. We did not have breakfast in the dining room as...

Unfortunately, we only spent one night here during our recent trip. I would have loved to have stayed longer, because this is a lovely hotel. We arrived quite late in the evening, but the staff were very helpful, and some food had been left plated up for us in our room. In the morning, the breakfast was superb in the...

Like many other international travelers, we arrived here after many hours of traveling (about 11 hours) and just wanted to rest the remainder of the day. The check-in was prompt and efficient. Our room was up to date, with a small veranda that we really didn't take advantage of. Unlike others on this site, we had a small refrigerator in...

We stayed for two nights and received excellent service throughout our stay. Marco, the manager, is an exceptionally gracious host who greeted us after a very long flight, offered us refreshing beverages upon our arrival, and arranged for us to be seated in their dining room immediately after our check-in. All of the staff we encountered gave us prompt and...

This is one of the best managed and elegant hotels we know. The staff is exceedingly helpful, welcoming, gracious and personable. The room, ordinary by this hotel's standards, was well appointed with a spacious bathroom and an adjacent open air space with a waterfall. The restaurant is wonderful, the setting is charming, beautifully designed, with an elegant and romantic atmosphere....

We stayed our first night here. We arrived in the evening after a long flight, the reception staff were excellent. We were greeted with a welcome drink and check in was very quick. The room was one of the original rooms and was very comfortable. We were leaving early the next morning but still had time for a fabulous breakfast...

I booked this hotel through Expedia for 1 night before my flight (don't bother staying in San Jose longer than this...) but something glitched on Expedia's end and I was instead charged for 3 nights a week before my intended dates. I arrived at the hotel to check in and they didn't have my reservation. I contacted Expedia to get...
