We had two 1-night stays and both rooms were comfortable and large. The hotel is unique with a sense of history and art throughout. Several sitting areas , a fountain, and an open air patio. Just a short walk to the Teatro Nacional. Helpful staff...More

Many different areas to lounge. Each area well decorated and inviting.
Neighborhood deserted late evening and not too safe looking.
Many stairs to get to most rooms, each bedroom very different.
Nice hot breakfast.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner. We didn't see any noteworthy attractions nearby, but found the parks, streets, shops and markets nearby safe to walk to. We did get out about 10 in the morning, and felt no qualms about being out. The hotel is in the business district, so there always a lot of people around. Our driver from the airport recommended being watchful when we used our cell phones in the event someone came by and tried to grab the phone, but we didn't encounter any thieves.
