Stayed 2 nights at start of a group tour & 1 at end. Check in late on first night was reasonably quick. Breakfast was OK with a reasonable choice, the usual rice & beans, fruit, some other hot dishes and some bread, jam and excellent biscuits. Room as others have said is dated, but served its purpose without any complaint....

We stayed here at the beginning of our tour and again at the end. Our room for the first stay was tiny with one closet that could only be opened by getting on a bed whereas the superior room we had at the end was the opposite - spacious with good storage. The standard rooms appear to differ a lot...

This hotel is set up for small and large groups with tour companies. Some are all inclusive groups so that their food is included so they can eat at the hotel. The closest restaurant is a 10 minute walk in a dark area. The rooms are tired. The tiles in the bathroom look like they need to be replaced. There...

Spent our first 2 nights and our last night in this hotel. The hotel is tired, the beds were not particularly comfortable and the bathrooms definitely need a refurb. They are mouldy, the showers didn't work properly in either room and they were dirty. The rooms were also very noisy from the traffic. The staff were very friendly and helpful...

The female receptionist was welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room, while a decent size was tired and the beds are squeaky divans. Showers were hot. Buffet breakfast was reasonable standard hotel fare - pancakes, eggs, toast, beans and rice, pastries and fruit. Restaurant for evening meal was good but no atmosphere. Pool was clean and pleasant with a jacuzzi...

We stayed here at both ends of our Costa Rica trip and it was very comfortable and convenient. We really enjoyed all of the paintings in the rooms and particular the public areas of the hotel. The layout is slightly confusing as it is arranged across different wings and levels on a steeply sloping site - most of the rooms...

It's near the center but the hotel need remodeling. It's old and never changed over decades. It's a okay hotel for typical buss - loads of tourists. Breakfast is simple and not good enough. The main reviews are indeed 3 stars. The rooms and beds are okay. But I wouldn't recommend it to my clients. Staff is very friendly. .

Good sized room and reasonably quiet. Shower and AC worked?! (A bonus in this area), the water was hot and pressure reasonable. The AC was hidden a low level behind a spare bed, but once found worked well. Breakfast buffet included and ok. WiFi available in reception. Nice pool in garden out the back. Bar was shut before 10:00pm

Stayed here 1 night on a group tour. On the plus side it's in a fairly quiet bit of town, the staff are friendly and speak good English, and breakfast is OK. Not exceptional but enough to fill you for a morning (scrambled eggs, the ubiquitous rice and red beans, sausages, small thick pancakes and some croissants/Danish pastries) You can...

Good things first as the list is shorter. Breakfast was OK and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Unfortunately it felt like there was no air in the room so even if you could sleep through the traffic and birds and people chatting you couldn't sleep. Our favourite was when someone started cashing up the till at 5.45 in the morning....
