Stayed at the King Eider Inn in Barrow, Alaska and found it was a very good Hotel. The staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and you can get your laundry done if you ask. Just across the street from the Airport. Highly recommend this Hotel and a visit to Barrow, AK.

Judging by the reviews on TripAdvisor, you would think the King Eider Inn was a secret resort north of the Arctic Circle. Not quite. First the positive; extremely nice, friendly staff, excellent location across from the airport, nice size room, shower with good pressure, and good choices of television entertainment from the cable TV. The negative; bulldozers pushing snow outside...

The King Eider Inn was a great hotel. I didn't have to get a cab because it was right down the street from the airport (although dragging luggage a half block on a snowy road was a bit of a challenge). There was hardly any air traffic noise from the runway across the street. The rooms were very very clean....

We had a great stay at the Kind Eider Inn, and the ability to get a package deal with a rental vehicle made a HUGE difference in our stay! There were several types of vehicles to choose from, so we got exactly what we wanted. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable - everything you would want in a...

The hotel is fairly close to the airport. Its was very quiet, comfortable, clean, and cozy. The hotel staff is helpful, they will help you find a tour or point you in the right direction if you want to take a walk about. The town is small so don't worry about getting lost. I would stay again.

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the airport. The staff is very nice and helpful, and they provide coffee, tea, and hot water at the lobby. Also, there's a microwave, which is very convenient for our family. Overall this was a great hotel, and i would recommend it to anyone who stays in Barrow.

I stayed 1 night in june. Very clean, safe hotel. Very friendly owner and staff. When its owner heard that I was curious, he even let me taste the whale blubber which was gifted to them by the hunters after the tribal hunting season. Barrow was a completely different experiment for me. Ice covered Polar ocean shore was amazing. I...

My wife and I travel several months a year staying in both high end and budget places. This is as good as it gets. I can not remember any hotel as nice as our eight night experience here. Very friendly owner and staff. Rooms are of the highest quality. Just amazing considering the location, across from the Barrow airport. Rooms...

“I really do not think there is a "room with a view." But, that was OK. We were on the second floor, there are only two floors, All in all, it's a pretty quiet place. Not sure if the folks on the first floor could hear those on the second walking around. Overall, even when I was in the lobby, it seemed pretty quiet.”
