We enjoyed every aspect of our our stay at Tai Roto and would highly recommend it. Poni met us at the airport with a beaming smile and genuine warmth that continued throughout our stay. She and the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. Location is great. We were windsurfing from the end of the peninsular and just either wandered a few minutes down the beach or took the moped via the road to the sailing club area. Having kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling gear was fantastic, The villas are roomy , very clean and set in lovely gardens. The beds are so comfy and with the breeze through the louvres and the ceiling fan on we slept incredibly well. No need for air conditioning. The kitchen is well setup so you can self cater if you wish. We hired a moped and enjoyed trips into town to get provisions. You sometimes have to search around for some fresh items but that's part of the island experience and a great way to mix it up with the friendly Cook Islanders. The Boat Shed Cafe is very close and we have a series of good experiences there. The food was really tasty and well priced - recommend the beef rendang. The Koru Cafe is also within easy walking distance and has great food.
There is a wifi hotspot at the villas so just buy vodafone data which is very reasonable and you have internet in your villa subject to a few drops outs that is part of life on a remote island. Overall we had a wonderful relaxing holiday and will be back. It felt like our Aitutaki home.

We just had the most amazing time at Tai Roto Bay Villas,We were met at the airport with the most welcoming smile & beautiful flower Leis We arrived at our accomadation before check in time Poni was so helpful they stored our bags & told us where to go for breakfast Offered a rental scooter & they did their best to get our room ready for us Our little bungalow was so awesome super clean & all the little touches flowers etc I love the decor..it has a ceiling fan & air conditioning all windows have insect screens & Louvre windows the details of this place is amazing there was a complimentary Niu drink(coconut juice) in the fridge so refreshing also filtered water supplied in bottles in the fridge The bed was so comfortable The bathroom was really nice love the black & white theme soaps, body lotion,shampoo & conditioner, shower gel all supplied details of the place is amazing Our daily breakfast was so delicious fresh paw paw & passionfruit etc..presentation was beautiful This place is within walking distance to Koru cafe (nice food here) & the Boat shed restaurant if you book a cruise on the Vaka you can just walk there on the beachfront from this place You can kayak or sit on the beach & just chill out this place is such good value for money compared to the fancy resorts we are so happy we found this little parsdise we definitely will come back here Beachfront or beach view is the best one to book..if you are like us & like warm showers Have it in the late afternoon as water will be warm definitely not in the morning

Your shared experience means the world to us. Happy to hear your hostess Poni, made some helpful suggestions to visit our friendly, local café "Koru Cafe" and exploring around our bay prior to your check in. Fantastic to hear our senior inhouse Puna did a great job in upkeeping a squeaky clean villa for you. We hand picked the fresh flowers from our garden onsite to have it sit right next to your bed for you... Your excellent at noticing the details we provided for you. From your bathroom amenities to your room décor and facilities. The last thing we would want you to think about is the bare essentials for your room. Your only thought when staying with us should be …,"Yayyyy!, Finally!... We're here:) ! Oh, and the king bed... Its so great you found it comfortable, the sheep must have fell off by the count of one:). It's so awesome you were able to do fun activities and at the same time relax with us. Having the kayaks onsite means, you'll have the opportunity to paddle out to one of our tiny remote islands with your packed picnic lunch to enjoy on the beach after snorkeling with the little fish. It's like, having a private island to yourself for the day! Pretty sneaky right?! :) . Our reclining sun loungers you relaxed on, makes it easy to get into "please do not disturb", (I'm on beach mode) state of mind. The Vaka cruise has a great string band onboard, did those island boys get you up and dancing when you were cruising across our lagoon :) ... Wow we were very happy from start to finish, my partner myself and our grandfather stayed at Tai Roto Aitutaki for 5 days. Poni picked us up from the airport complementary transfers to and from. Greeted us with beautiful leis apon arrival
Yes we had arrived, just a short trip to our hut/ villa Beach front location, we were very happy with what we had. All the little touches made the difference to our stay. A fully equipped kitchenette with salt pepper, oil, tea coffee, sugar, milk and even mixes for our drinks made such a difference.
This place is wonderful location for relaxation but they also have stand up paddle boards, snorkle gear, bikes, and kayaks avaliable for you to use
The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed , delightful to come home to replenished amenities a clean floor, fresh towels and rubbish taken just to name a few things they do.
This is the place if you want to stay somewhere nice but still have the flexibility to do your own thing. Can't Rave enough about it.
One more thing was the continental breakfast daily. We enjoyed the fresh papaya, local fruits every morning.

Where do we start?! Tai Roto Bay is an absolute must when visiting Aitutaki. It is a family business run by Cheran who is the best host you will ever meet! She caters for everyone’s needs and from the moment you step off the plane she is there with the warmest welcome. Cheran was happy to organize any tours and offer advise on good places to eat, drink and swim! The villas are spacious and have everything you need, Comfy beds, modern bathrooms and kitchens. Scooters can also be rented from the property which is a bonus.
The rooms are serviced every day and fresh drinking water is replaced. The staff on the property are so kind and helpful and really make you feel at home. We stayed in Tai Roto bay for a total of 8x nights. We are so glad we did! The personal touches are so well through out and staying here was really one of the highlights of our trip.
Breakfast was included in our stay where we got a tropical breakfast each morning. We did not get sick of this! The variety was great and was presented so nicely. Being able to wake up and have breakfast all prepared for you with a selection of local fruits and home baked goods is the best! Also at this little gem is your own private beach. Lay in the sun lounges all day and swim in the lagoon. Another bonus for coffee lovers is just a short walk from Tai Roto bay there is the Koru Cafe- they are so friendly and make great coffee! We highly recommend checking them out too.
You are surrounded by the most beautiful gardens which are maintained by staff on the property daily.
You have everything you need at Tai Roto Bay!

After a very hectic and long year,i decided to travel to the Cook Islands to spend time to relax and rejuvenate. After a short 45 min from from Avarua,Rarotonga, on Air Rarotonga,we safely arrived on Aitutaki and was met by the host and after a short drive, we were at the bungalows overlooking a beautiful beach and a short walk to food and drink establishments as well as breathtaking beaches.If you desire to disconnect from the digital media & rejuvenate and recharge,this is the right place to visit. Just carry reading material & a spirit to explore and you will be fine.

We are just back from 5 nights at Tai Roto Bay. Everything was just perfect. The view, the villa, the location and the lovely family and team.
The villa was spacious, clean, comfortable & had everything we needed. Showers were hot and great water pressure. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfasts delicious.
The beach was fantastic. It is a private beach and most of the time we had it to ourselves. It was paradise. The best was we were able to swim all day right at the beach regardless of the tide.
Location was perfect - we went each morning for coffee at Koru Cafe (highly recommended) and could walk to 3 restaurants and to scooter/car hire.
The family running the accomodation were so lovely. Friendly, helpful and thoughtful, but not intrusive. When we asked where we could get fresh coconuts from, the next day they got us some with breakfast. Thank you so much.
It was so perfect we did something we have never ever done before - and re-booked to stay again next year.

We spent ten beautiful days here with a group of friends . Gorgeous Cheran along with her beautiful mum and dad welcomed us with such warmth . We were very impressed with their hospitality. They settled us all into our four Villas which were just lovely with flowers , fridge topped up with beer for the boys which we requested . They were very accommodating with helping sort out our food with putting things into their freezer assisting us with over flow . Cheran couldn’t have been more helpful when we first booked with corespondence in regards to what we were wanting to do while staying on the island . She organised and booked our scooters , snookering trip with Te King ( this is an Absolute must when visiting ) She arranged with this company for myself and my girlfriend to plant a coconut tree in remembrance of two beautiful family we had both recently lost . She took care of booking the boys in on the black pearl fishing charter with Mike which is another must . The resort has beautiful gardens each villa has a view of the water . The beds are very comfy the kitchen is very well equipped we cooked there very night . There is a bbq to use . We were brought our breakfast Monday through to Friday which was beautifully present on a tray . Saturday and Sunday bacon eggs ,fresh bread was put in our fridges . Just perfect !!! Located right beside an amazing swimming spot, a short drive to some of the best snorkeling you’ll ever see and within walking distance to the boathouse restaurant and popular the boat tours. Would highly recommend Tai Roto to anyone visiting the island.
Cheran picked us up with the warmest welcome from the airport. The accommodation was modern and clean and we had paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear to use for free. Cheap scooter rental from the property - couldn’t have been an easier process from start to finish.
And the breakfast would put a 5 star hotel to shame! Do yourself a favour and book yourself in. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow. What an incredibly well run and personal accomodation option! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and laughter from the friendly Cheran and her team. We were straight into the beautiful water as it was a hot day, and enjoyed their outdoor shower in the garden, private and looking at the view of the bay. Rooms are recently renovated with personal touches, and the breakfast is fresh and filling. Such a wonderfully run family business, I can’t boast about them enough. Just go, trust me! More affordable than resorts, and resorts are open if you want to go there for drinks and meals anyway so it’s the perfect balance. I’ll be back!! The team will also help book transport, restaurants etc, and was so helpful when we had a family emergency that we had to deal with. Thank you x
