Visualize thatched roof bungalows over looking a shimmering tropical lagoon. This is the Tamanu Beach resort. One of the best locations on Aitutaki. 5 stars. The Tamanu Beach staff, Nick, the manager, and Masi, the head chef. My kind of hoteliers. 5 stars again. The food at the Tamanu and also Rarotonga soooooo good. Not a single issue in the... More

Aitutaki is absolute paradise and Tamanu Beach is situated on the most beautiful lagoon I've ever seen. The water is warm and crystal clear and we used the free snorkels, stand up paddle boards and kayaks every day. The one bedroom villas are a really decent size, we stayed in 208 and it was really quiet. The shutters block out... More

Spacious, modern beach villas situated on the beautiful lagoon of aitutaki. Large deck area, plus very roomy bathroom and shower creating luxury. Bedroom and living room again very spacious and comfortable particularly after having stayed in smaller bungalows (some space is nice!) Lacking however in cooking facilities which was a let down since the restaurant had no vegan options and... More

Kia Orana Rhianna, Thanks so much for the review. There is always room for improvement and we appreciate the feedback. We are working on new menus with 'vegan' & vegetarian options. This is still a concept restaurant staff in Aitutaki are getting to grips with. The educational process is happening but will take a little more time to build confidence... More

While we were not staying here while in beautiful Aitutaki we visited the restaurant for dinner, our order was lost and when it finally did arrive was inedible and nothing like what was described on menu.

We stayed at this fabulous hotel for our honeymoon! We can't recommend this place enough! Our beach bungalow was amazing with our own private verandah where we could watch the sunsets each evening with a glass of wine. Nick the manager is the perfect host and always greeted us by name. The girls in the dinning room always smiling and... More

Aitutaki is every bit the dream destination it sounds like; Tamanu Beach is the perfect base to explore it from. The hotel is beautiful with delightfully friendly staff from the moment you are collected from the airport until the final, sad goodbye. The bungalow we stayed in was superb and the short walk to the restaurant along a white sandy... More

Tamanu Beach Resort was a delightful place to stay with really comfortable private bungalows. The welcoming touch of flowers in every room with the scent of frangipani fulling the air was magic. The staff were lovely, always smiling and helpful, we felt really welcomed and cared for. The resort restaurant was excellent serving delicious food and I would recommend the... More

The Tamanu Beach Resort is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty which is Aitutaki. Nick the manager is very friendly and had numerous conversations with us, whilst the front of house staff were fantastic and able to meet all our needs. The rooms were well presented and maintained by the friendly housekeepers. The king bed is exactly... More

We just returned from a 4 day stay on Aitutaki and stayed at Tumanu Beach. We loved everything about the place. We had a 1 bedroom, lagoon view bungalow and nothing beats starting off each day throwing open the sliding doors (leave the screen closed though, those pesky mosquitos will eat you up) and just lying in bed looking out... My daughter (20) and I spent 9 days at Tamanu Beach Resort, switching between 3 days of beach-front accommodation (Hut 201) and 6 days Garden Suite (Hut 105) accommodation. We loved both, for very different reasons. Firstly, the beach- front accommodation fulfilled every expectation: 10 step walk to the lagoon, constant sunsets from the balcony, separate living/ bedroom areas, broader... More
