My lifelong ambition was to see a bear in the wild. We checked into our cabin, cleverly positioned so you feel you are alone, went down to dinner in their restaurant. Great food, Alaskan Nachos.... Just try them...... Great beer... Alaskan Amber. As we watched the river below and the mountains around, there was Mrs Bear and Cubs. Worth whatever...

Nice spacious rooms and comfortable features. Beautiful big deck on the lodge for hanging out and dining. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was that there is no wifi in therooms, only in the lobby, which in this day and age, is kind of supposed to be a given. C'mon Princess, spend a little money to upgrade...

You can expect the staff to be cheerful and helpful. Our cabin/room was large, the bed was comfortable no lumps or bumps here and it was clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent as was the service. The Princess Lodge salad was excellent, I could have just ate it. The morning breakfast was hot and the staff was very...

First stop on the land portion of our trip and I had no idea what to expect. Although the smallest AK lodge by Princess, it ultimately proved to be our favorite. Loved the wood burning stove on the room. Food was excellent and the service great. Be sure to hike a mile back down the road to see an unusual...

We stayed at the RV park for a week. The sites are a little closer together than We like however with the ability to dine at the lodge restaurant and bar it greatly enhanced our experience. Our site was level (32), and we haplenty of room to park our 40 ft motorhome and park our tow. Showers were $2.00. The...

We arrived at 11 am to check in to 3 rooms. The clerk stated the no rooms were clean and would not be available till 3 pm. We asked to keep our bags with concierge but they won't allow that. Within 10 minutes of having this conversation, a gentleman walks in and asks to check in to 3 rooms and...

We stayed here for two nights as part of our land tour with Princess and were amazed by the beauty of the area as well as the cabins and staff. We were met on our tour bus on arrival by the manager- a very friendly guy. Our room was larger than I had anticipated and had a wood burning stove...

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Princess Wilderness Lodge for 2 nights this week. We heard about it because I bought an Alaska TourSaver book which had a deal for a second night free. It was a beautiful drive from out previous hotel in Anchorage, however, we nearly ran out of gas and there is NOTHING between Girdwood...

If we are to go back to Alaska, we'll definitely stay at this lodge again. The thing that surprised us was the size of the room: one bedroom, one living room, one private patio, and one bathroom. It's so clean and maintained well. Hot tubs are available until 11pm.

Beautiful place and great cabins with wood fire places. They provide all the chopped wood you need right outside your door. Ask for a cabin with a mountain view. Wonderful place to stay and use as base while visiting the area. Food is delicious and service great. Enjoy a hot drink in the evening on the outside deck above the...
