Just next the hotel is the station of the aerial tram. It's a scenic ride from The Hotel Alyeska to 2,300 ft in elevation and the top of Mt. Alyeska. The hotel has beautiful surroundings with a small lake.

I agree with a couple of the folks that responded about driving up the road a bit to get a better view. I think the absolute best place is north of Anchorage. Good luck and I hope that you get to see them because they are truly amazing!!
