We stayed 3 nights and would have stayed longer if we could. It is run by Kevin, Lucinda, Bowman and Jess Sidelinger and they make you feel part of their family. A number of guided hikes, sea and lake kayaking and boat trips are included in the price. Bowman was very knowledgeable and a patient and quality guide. We saw...

The Ridgewood is lovely and the Sidelingers are a very nice family. However, you should know that you will be basically living with them. The rooms are small, there are no dressers or hangers, and there is not much room to sit. Your free time will probably be spent downstairs with the family as they carry on their lives. We...

We loved our 4 days with the Sidelinger family. The Lodge is fantastic, and has very comfortable and clean rooms. The food is outstanding and very varied. The standard is very high. All the outings we went on were very well organised, and exceptionally well thought out. All details were covered. There is a spectre of activities to participate in,...

My wife and I just returned from a great 10 day vacation to Alaska! The best part was the 3 days we spent at Ridgewood Lodge. The Sidelinger family built this beautiful lodge in a stunning location with great water and mountain views. While there we went on a hike to a glacial mountain lake and kayaked to the face...

If you are looking for luxury wilderness accomodations this is the place. The lodge is beautiful and modern and sits upon a bluff overlooking Katchemak Bay to the East. To the West are beautiful snow capped mountains and the wilds of Alaska. Halibut Cove is a quaint picturesque town worthy of exploring. At the lodge you will find gracious hosts...

What a beautiful place for our wedding! The location and the staff were magnificent! We couldn't have asked for more. The food was among the best we've ever had! Lucinda could take on any top chef and win! Gourmet to the highest! Everyone was so kind and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They adjusted to...

With all that others have written, you should have stopped reading and picked up the phone by now, but at the risk of being redundant, this is a place of astounding beauty, conceived of, built and run by gracious, warm and very capable people who are most generous in sharing their world. With Kevin and Bowman your shepherds, hike and...

We had stayed in Wilderness Lodges in Alaska before and not always were our expectations met. Not so at the Ridgewood Widerness Lodge. Our visit there was spectacular in every aspect and far surpassed any reasonable expectations and anything we had experienced before. The lodge itself is beautiful and luxurious, the bedding is heavenly and the whole atmosphere is warm...

It will be a time to remember. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They had an answer for everything. Very laid back and food was good. Worried about staying with a family but now opened my possibilities for traveling in the future.

We stayed at the Ridgewood for our honeymoon this August, and my wife and I agreed that we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. The Sidelingers are some of the most kind people we have ever met and, despite the desire to spend some time together (it was our honeymoon after all) we found ourselves staying up after dinner...
