This reasonably priced hotel in the very expensive Denali Park area features a pretty basic room, great king-sized bed and very nice folks who offer fresh coffee in their office and $1.00 sweetrolls. We booked for three days but left the area after two because of the heavy smoke from nearby fires. Our third day was refunded with great courtesy.... More

This wasn't really what we were expecting. The hotel office is a retired Alaska RR car, and the individual buildings are small with 6-8 units each. Nothing fancy, but clean and fairly comfortable. Don't expect a view of much of anything except the other buildings, or maybe if lucky, the woods. Definitely not like the higher-priced resorts back at the... More

This is a very basic hotel but the history behind it is interesting. The buildings and railroad cars were originally in the park. The lobby is a railroad car. Rooms were very basic but I wasn't there for the rooms. The location was great and the price was very reasonable for the area. The staff was extremely friendly and well... More

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel but I truly surprised. The hotel location is good and view is nice. Rooms are clean. In Denali, hotel choices are limited and most of them are pretty pricey too. This one is located around 15min driving distance from the park entrance. Only one issue is you have to cross an extra stretch... More

Yes the toilet/bathroom is small, the showerhead is low(a pet hate of mine) and the CRT tv hasn't many channels but everything was excellent for us.We had room A3 which had a great view of the mountains while we ate breakfast, speaking of breakfast there are things you can buy in the lobby but with a fridge and micro you... This hotel is just average. There's not many places to choose from in the area. This hotel isn't too far from the park entrance. The hotel itself is pretty plain, but I spent most of my time outdoors- just slept here. I think its kind of pricey for what you get.

Healy is about 10 miles north of the Canyon Area where all the big hotels, tourist shops and of course the tourists are. The hotel is motel style, rooms are as expected but clean and tidy. The bathrooms are very small, just a toilet and shower in the bath. Basin is in the room area. The area is quiet but... More

I just stayed at this hotel and we had a nice time. I liked the fact that it wasn't right in town and crowded with tourists. The rooms were clean and it was all we needed after long days in the park. The best part was that we were less than a mile from 49th State Brewery.

This was our second stay, the last in 2012. Nothing has changed, not even the decor. But it has everything you need, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and coffee. The staff was friendly and you can see the moutains from your window. We like it becasue it isn't in the middle of the Denali Glitter Gulch noise and hype. Parking is... More

Ok it looks like a motel, it’s not modern and is stuck in the 50s. However there is everything you need (fridge, microwave, coffee machine, tv, wifi), it all works and beds are comfy. The little trains outside are cute and the surroundings are nice. Rather quick ride to Denali National park (20min). No breakfast included in the bedroom price... More
