I visited Alaska from SoCal in early Sept and stayed at the Ridgetop Cabins for the close proximity to Denali National Park. Our cabin was great - it was light inside, uiet and clean with everything we needed (small refrigerator, microwave, kitchen necessities, full bath, two bedrooms and a common area. I slept great - the bed was really comfortable. It is located relatively close to restaurants in Healy and an easy drive to Denali. I personally loved the wooded area where the cabins are located. Half ay to Denali on our last day there I realized I left my cell phone plugged in at the cabin!! We made a phone call to the staff and upon leaving Denali at the end of the day we were able to stop by and the manager was waiting outside with my phone!! So relieved!! Nothing but positive things to say about my stay at Ridgetop Cabins....it was exactly what I wanted for my Alaska experience.

The cabin was the perfect place to unwind and get a restful nights sleep after spending time in Denali National Park. The cabin had everything we needed including a toaster, microwave, plates and utensils which made it easy to warm up leftovers. The cabin was very clean. The whole area was well maintained and provided nice walking paths. The fall colors were spectacular and added to the ambiance. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

We stayed at Ridgetop Cabins in early September for 2 nights. IThe cabin was super cozy, clean and comfortable. Loved having a kitchen to warm up our leftovers from 49th State Brewery and prepare some food we'd brought down from Fairbanks. Take your time on the road up to the place, it was a bit rough but easy in our Ford Escape. We picked this place for the peace and quiet we thought it would provide and we were right. - It was about 15 minutes to get to the park, but a pretty drive (and we saw a moose).

So everyone makes a big deal about the one mile road to the cabins but it is not that bad. This is Alaska! I had a rent a car-normal sedan and went up and down several times without any problems. Just take it easy on the road and you will be fine-it only is 5-10 minutes on the gravel road. Once at the cabins you park right in front of your cabin so no hauling bags through a big hotel. The cabins are well equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker with included coffee. The staff is very friendly and helped with info about the area. The cabins are very clean and nicely set up. There is a queen bed and a separate twin bed which would be great for a family with one child. The place is off the main highway so very quiet and we slept like babies. Good black out shades provided. Yes the view is mostly blocked by trees but we had great views all day long in nearby Denali. It takes maybe 10-15 minutes to drive to Healy where we had great breakfasts at Rose's Diner, dinner at 49 state Brewery and did all our shopping at Three Bears which has everything somebody could need. The Entrance to Denali is about 30 minutes away and for us much better than staying around the entrance with all the cruise passengers looking for food and souvenirs. We took the Denali summit flight right from the Healy airport that we booked with the Ridgetop cabin staff which was so convenient. The office had free wifi but we just used our cellphones in the room which worked fine for us. All in all a great place to sleep and rest following the day touring around this beautiful part of Alaska. Just go easy on the road and all will be fine.

Booked a couple of nights at Ridgetop Cabins to stay while exploring Denali. After getting there we found the cabins clean and nice enough and pleasant staff. The only problem, its about a mile off the road on a winding gravel road(only a problem in a rental car, we had a rental car) and about 20 minutes from Healey and the other amenities including Denali. After making numerous trips back and forth, our fault, we decided it was just to far out with numerous other places to stay. It is quiet, but if your looking for vast views, they aren't here. If your wanting to hide from the IRS, this would be ideal.
