We didn’t want to stay in one of the big lodges (and they ended up being closed this year anyway), instead I really wanted to stay away from the crowds. Aspen Haus was a good choice. The beds were comfy, everything in the room worked fine, and owner was very nice. I wish we would have had our trash taken out during our stay, or if maybe there was an outdoor can where we could dump it on our own even. The grill is shared, (it is located on the owner’s porch) so be mindful of that, but the owner is very accommodating and will gladly heat it up and oil it for you. If we are ever in Denali again, we would stay here.

From the first call - and many more after that due to my change in itinerary - Ted was so helpful. From recommending places to eat in Healy and his patience and flexibility when I had to change the dates of my visit due to the fires on the Kenai Peninsula. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Four of us (two adults, two teenagers) stayed in the wonderful Birch cabin for three nights. Hearty welcome from Ted, who was very responsive and friendly throughout our registration process. The cabin is much bigger than the pictures convey and was plenty of room for the four of us. Nice "kitchen" counter top with small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee pot (and coffee, creamers, sugar, hot chocolate, tea), some dishes and some silverware (with dish soap and a clean sponge under the cabin's sink). Very comfortable two beds, big windows, dark shades and curtains (nice!!), a small table, and a nice front deck for enjoying the woods and mountain view. The cabin is very clean, with towels provided. Some trails right outside the front door. The Birch cabin appeared to be the most private in that you didn't see any other cabins or the main house from the front porch/deck. The bathroom set up: shower and toilet in one room, sink in main room. This set up worked great for the four of us. Great parking about 30 paces from the cabin. About 20 minutes from Denali entrance. Ted a wealth of information about visiting the park. Went to Rose's Cafe twice for breakfast and the Thai truck once for dinner (loved both places; great wifi at Rose's :)) Cabin is wonderfully close to Three Bears grocery store and gas station. We really liked being "just outside" the park in Healy vs. in McKinley Park at entrance of Denali. It was so quiet and peaceful there. At Rose's, we met some local teenagers and coal miners and it felt like we were in a town (which we were...). Healy is also the site of the "Into the Wild" saga of Chris McCandless - we didn't realize this until late in our stay. For those interested, you can really go down that rabbit hole in Healy. I wish we could've stayed at the Birch cabin with its amazing views, deep moss, and welcoming vibe for a lot longer. Next time!

From my first email Ted was very helpful. We stayed five nights in the main house, which we usually just rents out in July. It's a great house with a full kitchen, 3 bedrooms (up to 8 people), and plenty of space to spread out. It's in a great location just 25 minutes from the park entrance. Ted was a super nice guy - even sharing some salmon and halibut with us he just caught. I'd definitely suggest staying here!

Beautiful, extremely clean room wit comfortable beds. The room had a moderm clean shower, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. The host is very friendly and helpful. We saw a beautiful sunset out our bedroom window at 11:30 p.m. We will definitely stay here when we are back in the area again. The B&B is off a dirt road; however, the host emailed us excellent directions. It is most definitely worth the drive down the dirt road. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
