We loved our stay at Alaska Beach House and wish we had had longer than 2 days. It had a stunningly beautiful location overlooking the spit and the bay and the rooms were so homely and comfy. A really special place to stay.

Sara, Thank you for staying with us. I know it is a different experience than it would be in the summer but it has a different feel in the fall/winter. I hope we get the opportunity to have you come visit again.

I LOVED everything about The Alaska Beach House. The location was perfect, quiet and tucked out of the way yet close to everything. You are perched up high for views but can easily walk down to the beautiful beach. The hosts were very gracious and everything was just easy. Alaska can be expensive and this was GREAT value for the...

Lori, We love our eagle family as well. Before we bought this lovely space the previous owners named one eagle "Homer" and the other "Spit". I could never tell which was which but we sure love them. Thank you not just for a great review but also for being a great guest. Come again.

We stayed in the Eagle's Nest room. It was right on the beach. I made a million photos from the deck and the beach just below the room. It had a gorgeous view. There are also a family of eagles that nest at the edge of the property. Cam met us when we checked in and talked to us everyday,...

Thank you for such a thorough review. Sorry if I was around too much, I try to give everyone their space, but I did enjoy talking with you both. Sorry it has taken me a while to respond back to your wonderful review, my wife and I just got back from vacation and I have been away with the military...

My daughter and I stayed in the Orca room and loved it. Loved how it was decorated, felt like we were in a ahip....oval doorways, port hole mirrors, plank wood walls and floors in bathroom and whiskey barrel sink..lots of cool details. Beds were comfy...memory foam type mattress, great basket of breakfast goodies, room was very clean. It is right...

Hi Louise, Sorry it has taken a bit to write back, my wife and I just back from a little vacation of our own and I have been away with the military. It was very nice to meet you and your daughter. Many times people assume since it is our cheaper room that it is our worst, when in reality...

Traveling off-season, we totally lucked out when we found a vacancy at the Alaska Beach House. Deciding to stay an extra night in Homer, we went in search of a place to stay. When we arrived at the Beach House, our search was over. The waterfront view from the grounds and our room (The Eagle's Nest) was awesome. The appointments...

We stayed in the Bears' Den Room of the Alaska Beach House for 3 nights in early September. The location of the property is unbeatable, the deck was a nice added bonus, the owners were very friendly, and the price was great. But... you get what you pay for. I had 3 major complaints with this place: 1) The room...

Host Cameron was cordial and helpful, giving us a brief tour of Homer upon our arrival and a list of other information that was very helpful. However, his Alaska Beach House is not a house and is not on a beach. It is a group of apartments, some of which have a limited view of Cook Inlet, but not of...

What a wonderful Holiday! The room had a beautiful view from the bedroom to the kitchen table. The breakfast basket was a wonderful surprise and they even added extra things the kids would like. They also enjoyed watching the eagles. Our Host made sure everything was just right for our mini-family reunion. We are already planning another visit!

What can I say? Cam is the new owner of the Alaska Beach House. He patiently helped me for almost a year as we planned our family visit from Australia. Both over email and on the phone. Then when our family of four arrived in Homer, he was equally awesome. And ... the view from the "Eagle's Nest" room is...
