Although this motel is a good fishing location, the rooms are just so so. Rooms are musty with no extras. Pillows are worn out and smell. Doesn’t feel clean. On a positive note: their back yard is awesome for fishing and watching the river. Nice seating with grills and picnic areas.

We stayed in Kenai during the off season for salmon runs so my review won't speak for peak run times. The rooms were clean and nice with a nice view of the Kenai River. They even provided us with ice to pack our Halibut in. The price we paid was very reasonable for the accommodations.

I stayed here for two nights this summer while I was on a break working the Swan Lake Fire. Pretty much anything would seem top notch after spending a couple weeks on the ground, but I did truly enjoy my stay at the lodge. The price was reasonable and the room was comfortable. There are hooks outside of the lodge doors so you can leave wet gear hanging outside to dry. I enjoyed sitting on the docks that they have to fish from, you can literally fish right from the lodge. There is a variety of seating outside - benches, chairs and a swing, which is really nice. There is a bar at the lodge, I just went for one drink, and didn't eat. I would stay there again, it is super reasonable and homey.

Right on the Kenai River and a relaxing stay. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of off street parking and the staff was great to work with. There is a nice lounge upstairs that is obviously popular with the local crowd.

We moved to this hotel from another hotel a few blocks away that was terrible. The Kenai River Lodge was excellent! We had a room overlooking the Kenai River and the staff we very helpful and accommodating! Highly recommend this hotel.
