I enjoyed my stay! The service was good, attentive to my needs and gave me a warm welcome when i check-in. Throughout the days, they were helpful in geeting me cabs, giving recommendations on where to go and etc. My room was awesome, top floor, overlooking the river. It was clean and nothing to complain about.

This got to be the best St Regis in China in terms of services and value for money !! I live here most of my time when I am in Tianjin. I chose them over Ritz because of the services. Great view over the river , amazing Butler team, and excellent F&B services. Unlike most St Regis, they offer happy hour for top tier members with snack and drinks. Special thanks to Chef Kenny and Tina for taking care of my breakfasts and offered me special dumpling ! And I love my Butler ladies !! They always helped me out and even arranged my room exactly the way I want it to be ! They even noted how I place my dolls and pillow and remember my preference ! Absolutely amazing ! It’s in central location and easy access to anywhere. It’s also super quiet with nice amazing view. Highly recommend !!

The location of the hotel is really convenient. Near the train station and the river. The river view of the room is also amazing, especially in the evening. The butler service is really great that offer coffee in 24 hours. Thanks for Manager Star arranged taxi to airport and prepared take away coffee for us. Thanks for all staff service. I will be back. It is nice city to visit. I and my friend really enjoy this stay in Stregis Tianjin. It is a wonderful stay.

The hotel offers what I would call "old style" luxury. However, I found it to be not worth the money. Few reasons:
Booked directly through Marriott Bonvoy app to get a rate that did not include breakfast or any other perks. Travel websites offered better rate with breakfast. My Titanium Elite benefits weren't very valuable (granted I got my 1,000 bonus points) but turns out St Regis does not offer some of the perks that lower level brands of the Bonvoy family offer. My room upgrade was from city view to a river view - not much of a river, not much of a birw, and kid of useless on a one night business stay.
Room itself was fine, although carpet was kind of old. Bathtub didn't drain well. No take out cup to take my coffee with me in the morning. The Butler service staff don't speak enough english - I asked to have a shirt pressed and had a staff member come up to my room to bring me slippers (?).
Gym was eh... Pool and sauna facilities looked great but I never got to try them, since it closed at 10pm and didn't reopen until 10am. I finished my meetings late and had to leave the hotel by9am the next day. Clearly, the facilities are not geared to the busy people.
Next time, I'll likely pick the Westin where I get a lot more for my membership and money.

Disappointing. 1. Was greeted poorly upon arrival by front desk staff who not only spoke close to no English but had terrible attitudes. 2. We were initially ignored when we said we wanted to check in and were only attended to, albeit rather rudely, when we repeated ourselves. 3. It totally spoiled our first impression of The St. Regis as we expected, at the very least, basic courtesy at check in from an establishment which brands itself a “luxury hotel”. 4. The front desk staff’s command of English was so bad, they told us that check out time was at 8pm and only corrected after we clarified. Staff was also unable to confirm if payment was made and it took a bit of back and forth to verify that payment will be deducted from a deposit. 5. None of the usual information such as wifi details, pool/gym hours were related to us. 6. Poor cleanliness: plates at breakfast were dirty will brown liquid stains on them, there was litter in the elevators. 7. Management really should invest more into training staff better. On our part, we would NOT recommend visitors to Tianjin to stay at The St. Regis. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

My 1st time in Tianjin, a detour trip from Beijing for two nights stay on biz and St Regis had given me a warm welcoming check-in experience. Special thanks to front desk Chloe’s hospitality which made me feel home. BF is good with variety and local specialty. You can seat by window overlooking the river and it’s enjoyable. Egg Benedict though on the 2nd day was bad, maybe the chef was off so you need to count on luck (ha). Overall it’s still a superb and beyond expectation stay. Recommended !

This hotel was in downtown riverfront, next to walking street and a lot of malls. The outdoor restaurant was fantastic. I received a room upgrade to a suite with fantastic room view and luxurious facilities. Breakfast was great with a lot of local cuisines.
