One of the most relaxing holidays l’ve been on where the only decisions to be made were what to have for breakfast and lunch and what kind of massage to have! Bliss Sanctuary was a completely beautiful villa, with a truly caring team looking after your every need. Christine and Ani were the super organised hostesses, planning our day for us - even if the day consisted of nothing more than relaxing by the pool. The kitchen/housekeeping ladies were constantly making us food or smoothies and were so sweet. The therapists were all amazing, massaging our tension and stress away. And the drivers - it was great to have them around to take us on day trips or shopping. This is definitely a holiday that a solo woman traveller should feel safe in taking as you really are well looked after. Otherwise come with a friend, you’ll love it. A note on the construction noise. Bliss has offered a significant discount for the Canggu sanctuary while construction is happening next door. Most of the time, the noise could be ignored, and the Bliss team did what they could to minimise the impact by turning up music etc. Construction is supposed to only go to 5pm however the week I was there, it was going on past 9pm. The only time I was annoyed by it was when I was in my Blissful Sleep bath, trying to relax and hearing the banging next door (my room was closest to the construction site). Otherwise I was able to ignore the noise and would say that the discount offer presents terrific value. If you’re very sensitive to noise, perhaps try one of the other sanctuaries, but if not, come give Canggu a go (and there’s peace of mind from the noise guarantee anyway).

My trip to the Bliss Sanctuary in Canggu is up there as one of the best experiences I have ever had.
From the moment I arrived after a seamless pick up I felt relaxed and looked after. I have been to Bali previously and was excited but also a bit nervous of what to expect. Christina and Ani had booked an afternoon of treatments and this set the scene for the week ahead. The Bliss staff are some of the loveliest people I have met from the brilliant drivers, to the amazing hostesses and wonderful therapists & they can’t do enough to make sure everyone is happy, chilled & relaxed.
I was very fortunate to share my time at Bliss with a fantastic group of ladies, all from different countries and walks of life, we had laughter, adventures and best of all memories and friendships. The beauty of Bliss is doing as much or as little as you like and the hostesses will always go the extra mile to accommodate this. A typical day would start with Yuni’s yoga class which was great fun, breakfast (all of the food is simply beautiful!) and then a morning of treatments – massages, scrubs, reflexology & manicures to name a few. Lunch would be followed by a swim and more treatments. There is the option of day trips, seeing various different healers and tours and trips outside of the villa too.
As a solo female traveller or as friends, I would recommend Bliss to relax, revitalise and take some much deserved time out for yourself. I felt so cared for, uplifted and super chilled, I only wish I could have stayed longer. It certainly is a special place and I hope one day I can return :)

I have just left from the most life changing experience at Bliss. I’ve never done a retreat or anything similar to this so I never knew what to expect but every expectation in my head was 10 times better in reality. The whole experience from start to finish was out of this world. I was travelling on my own which I felt very apprehensive about at first but I’ve never felt more secure & safe than I did here at bliss. The staff were outstanding & they become like family during your stay. You are greeted every day with smiles & hugs. The food was unbelievable & so tasty, with a variety of foods including a full vegan menu they have something to suite everyone’s needs. I opted for the yoga package which again was out of this world, our teacher was incredible & I’ve gained so much more knowledge for my practice through her. Our hosts Annie & Kristina were unbelievably helpful & did everything in their power to make our stay that bit more special. On my final day at bliss there was plenty of tears as I was so sad to leave, it’s a safe sanctuary where you feel at home & is filled with the most beautiful & caring ladies you’ll ever meet. I have just had a wonderful week at Bliss Ani & Anita were wonderful hostesses who were there for everyone and catered for your every need, from eating meals together and having interesting conversations, to arranging all of the trips and treatments. My room was out of this world luxurious and full of thoughtful little touches that made me feel at home. Vera, Kerti and Desy were skilled in massage and spa treatments that were relaxing and revitalising. Ambar, Trisna, Viko and Riani were there all day making the most amazing food and smoothies a girl could wish for. I am vegetarian and my needs were very well taken care of! They worked so hard to ensure our rooms were clean and tidy and our baths were run. The first person I would see every morning was Putu who would set up for yoga, clean around, make sure the grounds were looking beautiful and a whole lot more. Yoga with Uni every morning was serene, strong, spiritual and a wonderful start to the day. I met with Sami and Henry/Nenyah for healing and found both treatments were beneficial. I also met with Erlangga for a tarot reading and found his reading to be accurate, fun and insightful. Both drivers Wayan and Ketut were safe, knowledgable and always on time. The Bliss family are so caring and thoughtful and made sure my stay was exactly what I needed it to be after a very difficult year for me, always available with a beautiful smile and a welcoming "Hello". I had an absolutely magical time at Bliss Sanctuary in Canggu. From the moment I arrived, I felt fully taken care of in every possible way. The sanctuary staff are absolutely incredible, and felt like friends by the time I left. I feel I was cared for in every way, having every need and want attended to. Amazing spa treatments (by wonderful loving women), delicious healthy food whenever you want or need (made with love by the wonderful staff).. yoga, meditation, pilates.. personal driver to take you wherever you want to go (and there are so many places to go!) I had the pleasure of enjoying the room with the balcony on top of the sanctuary, enjoying the bird songs in the morning as I enjoyed a coffee and yoga on the deck. The room was luxurious and large, and yet homey at the same time. The hostesses Christina and Ani made me feel right as home.. everyone did. I extended my stay by a week at this beautiful place, and would have stayed longer if I could! I biked to the beach for relaxing and surfing, lots of cafes and shops nearby. I was very fortunate to spend 6 days at the Bliss Sanctuary in Canggu, in February 2020, and it was by far, the best retreat/holiday I have ever experienced. it was far more rewarding than I anticipated. I booked my stay almost on a whim, as I had planned to stay somewhere else in Bali. During my research, I wrote Bliss off as being far too expensive and well out of my price range. However, while researching my trip to Bali and after its 3rd time of making an appearance, I decided to explore the Bliss website a little closer. It ticked all the boxes of what I wanted from the trip. The promise of unlimited massages probably tipped the scales for me.
The food was tasty, delicious and varied. My room was cosy, comfortable and relaxing. The space was breath-taking, comfortable, inviting and stylish. It felt like a home away from home. I was thoroughly looked after by the magnificent staff. Prior to travelling, Shar was my first point of contact and guided me through the preliminary and planning stages of my stay. Christina and Ani, my hostesses, were patient, informative and tailored all my requests to my needs. All my massages were carried out by incredibly skilled masseuses and were of an incredibly high standard . Ketut picked me up from my airport hotel on my first day and proceeded to provide me with a much-needed, impromptu guide to the island of Bali. The following day he also took me to Ubud to visit the Pyramids of Chi, Tirta Empul and the bustling market, while he waited for me to complete all my chosen activities. Every single member of staff made me feel welcomed, looked after and safe.
Had I stayed longer, I would have liked to have experienced more healing modalities. I had wonderful sessions with Sami and Henry/Nengah and intend to have a reading with Erlangga when I next visit.
My stay was utterly magical and I can barely wait to return. Perhaps I’ll visit all 3 sanctuaries next time.

This was my first solo trip and I was nervous but immediately knew I had made the right choice as I was was so looked after from the moment I entered the beautiful villa. I was made to feel so welcome and relaxed by Cristina,Ani and Tiara. Bliss Sanctuary is everything it says and more. The food and smoothies are fresh and delicious. You can have what you want when you want. The team are so dedicated to providing you with the exact type of holiday you want and need. I loved things being planned for me. I loved the hours of beauty treatment provided. Truly felt like a queen. From the yoga to Ketut and Wayan always being there to drive you around and making you feel safe, to the healing experiences, to the lovely women in the sanctuary creating a comfortable and attentive place of rest. I had an absolutely amazing experience at Bliss! The real selling point is the instant connection and chemistry I had with the other guests which the sanctuary fosters through group dinners and wonderful hostesses (Ani, Anita and Eka). It was fantastic to find women with very similar values but different life experiences that I could share meaningful moments and conversations with. As a group we would often sit chatting after dinner until one of us remembered the gorgeous baths waiting for us in our bathrooms.
Food and smoothies are unlimited and everything on the menu tasted wonderful. All of the kitchen ladies work miracles. I'm normally very much a meat eater but the tofu tempe in tomato nearly converted me.
The massage menu has a fantastic range and all of the ladies are wondeful. Warm and friendly from the moment you meet them and very skilled during treatments. I had a sprained ankle my last couple of days and the girls were great at working around that.
Wayan and Ketut are great drivers who make you feel really safe. I had 2 day trips with Wayan driving (one where I asked if we could set off at 3am and he happily agreed) and he had amazing recommendations for where else to visit near the attractions I was interested in. His photography skills are also wonderful.
As an early riser, I really appreciated Putu helping me get breakfast/ a smooothie before the kitchen ladies started.
I sent my schedule and close to 1000 questions before I arrive and communication from Ms Shar was really friendly and helpful. When I arrived all my appointments (healer sessions, elephant experience, waterrafting, sightseeing) had been made so I could relax and be whisked around.
The wellness baths were a real highlight for me as they were so unique and relaxing. I do have 2 pieces of advice though. 1. For guests: If you've looked at the Bliss instagram, you'll see lots of baths covered in petals. These are all different forms of the beautiful Bali flower bath so if you want your bath covered with petals choose this- other baths with petals (ie the Blissful sleep bath) are amazing but you should be aware the flowers will be a sprinkle not a tub full. Also I really recommend at least 1 bath in the day as you can take in the beauty of the outdoor tub and get better photos. 2. For the sanctuary: Though the baths are great I found the table by the bath was too small to keep me my towel on so I had to walk into my room before I could get wrapped under a towel. I think a bigger table or an option to have a spare table brought in when the bath is being run would really improve things as there would be space for a towel and maybe a phone/ tablet to play music. Walking a few steps for a towel is certainly not a hardship but it's the one very small thing in a week of bliss that I think could be improved.

The group banquet dinners are often a highlight of many guests stays, as this is a lovely time to connect with each other and talk about the days experiences, be it out and about exploring or lots of rest and relaxation around the sanctuary. All while sharing some delicious Balinese dishes with your beautiful hostesses. Haha the tofu - how good is it!! We've converted many ladies who have said that they don't like tofu and then try it and can't believe how good it tastes - we think that its the bit of love that our amazing kitchen ladies put into all the dishes :) Our drivers are incredible and they have so many wonderful recommendations where to take our guests and have no complaints about heading off early. And we agree, they all have wonderful photography skills too! Thank you for your feedback about the wellness baths. We agree, if you're looking for some great photos, a day time bath is a great suggestion - our lovely staff are more than happy to prepare your bath whenever you would like. I have recently visited the beautiful Bliss Sanctuary in Canggu. This was such a wonderful relaxing experience, up to 3 treatments a day from beautiful ladies. Home made fresh Balinese food every evening. Nothing was too much trouble for the two amazing hostesses Christina and Ani. I started each day with Yoga, and Yuni was the most amazing instructor, and i even gave anti gravity Yoga a try, in a local studio which was a great experience.
Easy to travel to if you want to travel alone, drivers on demand will take you anywhere, seamless pick up and drop off at airport. All women should treat themselves to an experience like this.
I also made some really lovely friends which was a bonus.
I will definitely return. Thank you Bliss for my slice of Bliss for 7 days.

My experience at Bliss Sanctuary in Canggu was nothing short of perfect. Nothing was every too much or too little for the small tight knit team at Bliss Canggu. Promises were delivered - with a smile. Daily inclusions of massages and treatments were made good use of, and I glutted out on the fantastic food (which I can have pretty much any time).
It needs to be said that I was at Bliss Sanctuary Canggu during the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. When I arrived in Bali, at the time there were no cases, and my home country had no restrictions in place yet. In the 2 weeks I was in Bali, things escalated very very quickly. Travel bans were put in place globally, people were panicking as to whether they can get home with all the cancelled flights etc. I feel the need to mention this, because Chris (our Canggu hostess) was there to reassure everyone, did a LOT of leg work for everyone.... she kept up to date on what was going on with travel bans and restrictions for each country the guest came from, did follow up calls and queries and bookings (during a time when phone lines were constantly busy with the mass exodus happening out of Bali).
The team at Bliss Canggu looks after you very well during the best of times with graciousness and warmth, and during the darker times they truly shine.
I wish the team well during these difficult times, and look forward to the easing of travel restrictions, because I will definitely be back.

More is always better at Bliss!!! I stayed there this year for the 6 nights but could have easily done a few more days.
You can have more time then to balance between doing the sight seeing you want but also having chill days at bliss.
You won’t regret it!

I don’t personally have an allergy, however have a number of food intolerances and I must say they were exceptional! They explained the menu choices and the kitchen is full accessible so you can see the staff prepare your meals. They also were so thoughtful about what else was prepared during the shared evening meal so that I didn’t miss out.
I don’t know if this helps, however my experiences of Canguu Bliss is the staff are wonderful and will do their utmost to ensure that you are safe.
Hi HtotheB83, the construction noise is a challenge for us right now and is why we're offering huge discounts. We understand it isn't the right choice for everybody whilst others don't mind it at all.
If you are worried about it i would suggest not choosing our Canggu location and instead look at our Seminyak or Ubud locations. Canggu is an exciting and up and coming area in Bali and our villa is gorgeous which is why many people are still choosing to come.
We can't tell you how bad the construction noise will be at the time you come as it changes everyday depending on the building processes. But it is very close by and noisy. We don't want to sugar coat anything and have been very upfront in all our email dialogue, newsletters and website. Construction is construction and there is nothing we can do about it. It is completely up to each individual whether this is for you or not.
Personally i get migraines and like a calm, serene environment so i wouldn't choose our Canggu location for me. But those who have chosen it & taken the discount in full knowledge have been happy so far.
For anyone who does choose our Canggu location, the discounts are huge and we have a construction clause, where if you change your mind when here you can get a full refund for the rest of your stay.
