Detailed Reviews
The Kirana is such a convenient location, five minutes from the beach and on a busy road with lots going on in terms of bars, restaurants, shops. The room was comfortable and it was lovely waking up to the cool oasis of the pool each morning. But the highlight of the stay had to be the staff- front of house, maintenance/housekeeping and the spa staff. Every single person was smiley and welcoming, always asking how your day was. It made the whole stay so amazing, 10/10 would recommend. Thanks to the wonderful staff!

We stayed at Kirana Canggu for 2 days. Everything was fine and the staff are very friendly and nice. They also set our room as a complimentary. The location is very strategic surrounded by many cafes, shop, etc and it is near the Pantai Batu Bolong (only 400 m from the hotel).

Booked twice in this hotel in a week's time, as i was really impressed with the hotel and staff. The location is perfect and close to everything, 5 mins walk to the beach, old mans and the lawn. Spa service was fantastic. The staff were amazing, always smiling and making sure you have a good stay. I loved spending my time with them at the reception. Booked a suite room in my first visit and stayed for 3 nights and after my 2 days trip to nusa penida i booked the suite again. The rooms are big and very spacious. Comfortable beds. Shout out to the reception staff. Lovely stay and will book again in my next trip

I stayed here for 3 nights as a solo traveller. The staff were very welcoming. When I was checking in the staff helped my figure out the local currency & brought my bags to the room.
I was sorely disappointed when I checked in. The bathroom tiles need a deep clean, all surfaces were marked. The toilet has never been bleached, after checking in I made the staff aware and they advised that it would be cleaned but no such luck.
The floors had big chips and cracks in them.
All the mirrors in the hotel were filthy, including the spa - it seems one rag was used to clean everything. Nothing polished. All of my towels were discoloured and ripped, when I advised staff they promptly brought another set but they were also discoloured and ripped.
I made an appointment for a pedicure (gel off & on) in hotel spa. Even though the menu lists gel nails they advised that they do not do gel nails. I agreed normal polish would be fine but they couldn’t take off the gel and their machine broke. I advised I would go somewhere else.
On the second day I noticed the only plug near my bed was broke, reception sent an electrician and he fixed it within minutes - great service!
I woke in the middle of my second night to a funny smell, when I put on the lights I saw one of my pillows was COVERED in MOULD!! I did not spot it on the first night. I called reception at 2am and they promptly came and said they would replace. I said it was ok no need to replace. On my third night I was awoken to my air con leaking everywhere, I had to move all of my belongings about 3am. Did not call reception as I did not want to move in the middle of the night.
I brought some of this info to reception again when checking out and I was disappointed that I was not offered a discount or some money back. I paid €108 for 3 nights and in comparison to other hotels and the experience I had it is in my eyes not worth it.
I would suggest that the cleaners have some training and the hotel is updated. One thing I could not fault is the lovely staff! Such lovely Balinese culture!

I don't know what the deal is with Canggu but there aren't many hotels in the area, its filled with hostels, homestays and small villas. The Kirana calls itself a four star hotel I can tell you it is nothing of the sort.
The staff are very friendly and great however the hotel is quite dated and doesn't have the four start standards in place (staff, facilities, quality). The bathroom has flies all over the place its disgusting.
The location is very good and central enough to a number of restaurants that is the only positive.
They had a rainstorm during my stay and the water went through the roof so the entire hotel had water all over the place. I went to my room and there is water all over the room floor and bathroom floor this was not great to come back to. When I complained and asked for another room they said there is nothing they can do about it. I would not stay here again.

After reading all the mixed reviews on this hotel, i was concerned about staying here but the minute i checked in to the hotel all my concerns went away. The room was nice and clean and everything in working order. Staff were also extremely friendly and helpful with any queries. The hotel is well located - the beach is not even a 5 minute walk and lots of shops, places to eat and spas outside your door. I could not fault it in any way. It is not a 5 star hotel and was never advertised to be but it’s a great hotel in its class. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider the Kirana for any future travel. It was great!

Rundown place that urgently needs maintenance, repairs, and deep cleaning. Everything is old, floors are damaged, walls are moldy, sinks are clogged, furniture is damaged, doors don't open properly. Very low value for money.

Although both location and staff are great, we would not recommend to stay here (anymore). It seems they didn't do any maintenance during the pandemic. Lot's of leakage and broken furniture in the rooms.
The loud (live) music at night from the restaurant/bar next door is an issue as well.

Very nice hotel close to one of the beaches, loads of shops and restaurants in the area.
The hotel breakfast was very good. Great foot massage, communal pool. Bar is open till 11 and there a late night burger bar outside it.
Would recommend if your staying in Canggu

This is my fourth stay for 4 days 3 nights in Canggu Bali, the
hotel is quite nice, the exterior is spacious & nice, the room
for 3 peoples is clean and doesn't smell, the AC is cold, there's also a balcony facing to the back of hotel, good for chiling & smoking, pretty kinda backyard vibes.
Well, they have swimming pool too, but this one more like
communal type, so you can't jumping into, cause it will splashing around to people.
The breakfast is include with the hotel room, i like it, you
should try "Fried Noodle", it's delicious.
The location hotel is pretty good, near to the Batubolong
Beach, Deus Ex Machina, Luigis, G Swing and the last one is
Burger Brothers Batu Bolong (right in front of the hotel).
