Detailed Reviews
We spent 3 lovely days in Aira Boutique Hotel, which was our favorite hotel during the 3 week Vietnam trip. The staff was exceedingly kind, courteous and helpful. A special shout out to Hannah. We loved sitting in the balcony taking in the views of Fansipan mountain. Our room was spacious and comfy, thanks to the complementary upgrade. The breakfast spread was really good with great variety and an option to order from the ala carte menu as well. The hotel is perfectly sized, neither too big nor too small. And it is a true boutique hotel, tastefully decorated with unique design touches and lovely portraits of local people in their ethnic dresses. The hotel is conveniently located away from the craziness of Sapa town yet just a few minutes walk to various stores and restaurants. The hotel arranged Sapa hiking tours (it was just ok in December, not too spectacular) and transport back to Hanoi. They also encouraged us to go to Mt. Fansipan when the weather was right and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Overall, we highly highly recommend Aira for the perfect combination of location, price, comfort and service.

Arriving after spending 8 hrs overnight on the train from Hanoi we were pleasantly surprised when Mr Stephen Long the hotel manager, informed us that all our rooms will be ready by the time we finish our breakfast. And that he had made sure that all our rooms will be located on the same floor. During our stay, we found all the staff to be professional, friendly, warm and helpful. The staff at the restaurant especially Anna was very attentive and helpful too. As it was the CNY season, we had to eat many meals at the restaurant, the food well very well prepared and tasty. The restaurant staff especially Anna was very attentive, helpful and warm. Based on their advice, we took the tram & cable car up to Fansipan Peak on the 1st day of CNY when it was not crowded and had a very enjoyable day visiting the many temple complexes found at the peak.
The hotel located at a quieter and secluded part of town yet its within walking distance from the town center and the Sapa Station. We had such an enjoyable time at Aira and Sapa, we hope to be back and will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends.

A wonderful option for your stay in Sapa! Incredibly kind and attentive service, comfortable and spacious rooms with gorgeous views of the valley and a generous happy hour deal in the evening. Mr. BEN, Ms, HANNAH, and Mr. JERRY should be commended by management for their hospitality, assistance and care of us during our stay. Paper bags for trash bags, and refillable water are two excellent sustainable choices they make. Their bar is newly opened, there is information about the surrounding area available, and best of all it’s a short 5 minute walk into town from the Aira. This is preferred because the town is in full swing now, with thousands of visitors clogging the streets, blocking traffic for selfies and in general making it extremely loud. At nighttime the town comes alive in a big way, with night markets and massive groups of families and friends roaming the streets taking pictures. The Aira is a great, off the Main Street place to stay and get away from the noise and enjoy a beautiful view.

We booked 3 days in Sapa, right before covid strikes again in Hanoi. Aira is only a few minutes from central Sapa.
Not only they accepted to postpone to a further date, they gave us a premium room without extra charge. I assume it was because many cancelled their booking and there was one upgrade available.
The room was clean and spacious, furnitures outstandingly mixing modern and tradition. The bed makes waking up extremely hard, because how soft it was.
Because it was cold, we asked for bed heater, which they provided righ away.
Staff was really friendly helpful, advising us trekking tour, restaurants and Sapa specialties.
The breakfast has room for improvement (very basic) but the "order from the kitchen" fresh pancakes, omelet and Pho was a really nice touch.
To wrap it up, Aira deserve their most rated title in Sapa, and I would recommend this hotel warmly. Granted, Hotel la coupole or grand Silk are on a more premium niche, but charge much more and suits better international clientele.
Aira shines with its "value for the money" edge.

My partner and I had the most amazing time at the Aria Boutique hotel and spa in Sapa! We stayed for a total of 5 nights but wished we could've stayed longer. The hotel was very good at communicating with us about the SPA facilities being closed at the time of our stay and even upgraded our room. The room was fantastic; comy, modern and had the best view I've ever had from a hotel room. Despite not many guests being at the hotel the staff really made the difference with our stay. They were so friendly, helpful and happy to have you there. A special mention has to go Ben, the waiter at the breakfast restaurant, he was so happy to speak with you and help. The level of English from all the staff was impeccable and they were very knowledgeable about things to do in the area. The hotel location was perfect, slightly out of the city center away from the noise but an easy 10min stroll to the restaurants and bars. Overall we had a lovely stay and we felt the hotel deserves the positive review and recognition.

+1
I stayed in the Junior Balcony Suite for 2 nights at Aira Boutique Hotel, almost entirely for the gorgeous mountain views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The hotel is perched over the edge of a hill overlooking the mountains, so booking a room with a good view was top priority for me. And the hotel did not disappoint: the hotel directly faces Cat cat tourism village down the hill, where the funicular train track passes by. Looking to the west is the cable car up towards Sunworld Fansipan, as well as the attraction itself. The views are beautiful.
Although it is not very far from Sun Plaza, to get to and out of the hotel I needed to walk past an unlit construction site, which was really dark and a little creepy. At times I dreaded the walk down to get dinner and really wished the hotel could provide a buggy of some sort. Especially since the nearest convenience store and eatery is near M gallery where Sun Plaza is.
On my arrival I wasn't impressed by the aging facade but once you get into the hotel, it is a completely different world. Light relaxing music and a pleasant scent fills the place, adorned with tasteful decor and an elegant lobby. Pictures of women in their traditional tribal constumes are placed in the doorways and corridors. I was impressed by the quality of the furnishings and overall ambience. It speaks of the hotel and it felt very welcoming.
Likewise, I was very pleased with the room design and room arrangement. It reminded me of my stay at Fairmont Jakarta few years ago. There are some hotels where I wished this was my own house, and this is one of them. The room decor and items are tasteful and exquisite. Beautiful blue porcelain cups, bottles and jars are used in the bathroom. Unlike some hotels that strangely leave them the floor mat on the shelf (and let me ponder whether that is a floor mat or a odd sized hand towel), they have placed it nicely in front of the shower door for me. Other attention to details such as warming lamp in the bathroom, soft bristle toothbrushes and magnetic shower screen door are very appreciated.
Breakfast was an affair as well. Occupancy wasn't high when I stayed there so it was an ala carte buffet. I felt it was better than a pre-cooked buffet spread as well. I actually expected some cheap hot dogs, but they served me premium sausages instead. Service is immaculate of course. Many a times I wondered if they deserve 5 stars instead.
There are some small niggles which I will not complain about. I was on sabbatical for this trip, so sitting at the balcony, basking in the comfortable air with the green view made it all worthwhile for me.
If you'd like some free suggestions, feel free to get in touch.

Stayed here because we enjoyed a sister hotel in Hanoi, Essence Palace Hotel.
This hotel is on top of the hill and has absolutely stunning views. We were lucky enough that the sun came out for the time we were there as this isn’t always the case. The hotel is grand but not too pretentious. Well appointed rooms. The bathrooms were clean and had nice towels. We stayed in room 310 with a balcony over looking the villages and away from the noise of honking motorbikes. Breakfast was enjoyable as they have a buffet as well as being able to get poached eggs or something else should you want a break from traditional fare.
We’d also like to thank the staff, and especially Hannah for making us feel special. A great team. Everyone seemed happy to please you and always did it with a smile on their face. We’d also like to thank LAN who took us for a tour to the villages. She spent two days showing us around and answering questions we had along the way.
We highly recommend this property.

Aira is a beautiful and cosy hotel that my wife and i stayed on our first trip to Sapa. I love the room as it is a clean and nicely decorated with a great view of the valley. The staff at the hotel provides great care and service during our stay. Lien Chau was exceptionally helpful by assisting us, providing us a room to shower late afternoon, even though we have checked out in the morning, so that we could be comfortable when we take the overnight train to hanoi. She also served us hot tea, observing that we may be cold waiting in the lobby for the bus to the train station. We were very impressed with the level of hospitality care the hotel and staff went beyond to make our stay here memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel .

The room condition was really nice, clean and spacious. Our room had a big terrace where we could see the funicular leading to Fansipan Street. The bathroom was also well-conditioned with a strong water pressure.
What was really memorable was the hotel staff who were very friendly and helpful. The location was about a 7- minute walk from the city, so it was the best value hotel in Sapa!

Thank you for your inquiry. The breakfast typically lasts until 10am but we can extend a bit on your request.
For a room with bathtub, you should choose the suite category. Please visit our official website and contact us via that channel so that we can response you immediately.
We look forward to being of service to you soon.
Best regards,
AHG management team
We stayed at the premier deluxe balcony room during our stay. The view was good. It's a corner room at the property, so, you do get much better views than you might from regular rooms.
If you're landing at Hanoi by 16:00, it might not leave you a lot of great options to head directly to Sapa.
If you wouldn't mind the expenditure, you might want to request the hotel for a private transfer to the hotel.
I haven't used the train service, so, I might not be the best person to comment on it.
We used the shared limousine service from Hanoi city to Sapa. They were comfortable transfers. Most of them run on a schedule and they mostly depart between 15:00 hours and 16:00 hours from Hanoi.
There are a few operators who run the shared limousines from the airport to Sapa, but, again, you might be missing their scheduled departures.
The alternative might be to take an overnight sleeper bus, and there are a few operators who have services from the airport to Sapa. Again, since we haven't used this option, I might not be the best person to suggest it.
Depending on the duration of your international flight, you might want to assess if you'll be ready for a road trip of about 5.5 hours.
In my opinion, you might be better off heading to Hanoi and spending the night at a hotel in the Old Quarter, and taking a shared limousine in the morning (departures are typically between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.) from Hanoi to Sapa. These services typically pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and can drop you at Aira Boutique hotel between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Hope this helps. Have a wonderful trip!
Hallo, I've been there a couple months ago.
The front of the hotel (where you enter) looks at the valley, the back of the hotel at the mountain.
For sure the view of the valley is nicer, though there is often a fog reducing the scenery.
It's up to you to decide whether you want to pay something more for the front, or save money at the back.
No, you cannot do your own laundry, but they will happily do your laundry for you for a fee and return it nicely folded the next day, or the same day if you get it to them early in the day. We were very happy with the laundry service!
Get the Sapa express - the seats are like lounge chairs.
