Victoria Sapa Resort - up a hill from town, walk or take a taxi Very Alpine-like. Great breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Local dancers performed the night we had dinner there. There is a pool and spa, but in an adjacent building. Excellent room with balcony and beautiful flowers and outlook. Tea on arrival and very attentive staff.

Dear VictoriaColwood, Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the TripAdvisor community. Indeed, the Victoria Sapa is probably the most Alpine style resort of our Victoria Hotels & Resorts. We could call it Tonkinese alpine design, made of Pomu wood and timber, and local marble stone. Our recreational are, pool and Spa is up the small hill following... More

Reached by a short but steep walk from Sa Pa the Victoria comes as a pleasant surprise. The building itself is reminiscent of a European alpine hotel with plenty of stone, wood, log fires and occasionally chilly. Public areas and bar are of a decent size with plenty of seating, and log fire, allowing you to do not much comfortably.... More

This hotel felt quite reminiscent of a Swiss chalet in the Alps. The breakfast on arrival after the overnight train from Hanoi was a very nice touch and unexpected. Room was ready straight away and the staff were friendly. Not so good being the only one eating in the restaurant that evening though, a bit lacking in atmosphere and about... More

The Victoria Sapa Resort and Spa is an excellent three and a half star hotel in any other place in the world. But in Sapa is rates itself five stars. I would rate it a good Best Western in facilities but not otherwise. The spa is separate and a short walk up the hill from the hotel and lobby with... More

I spent one week in Sapa for business trip and it was totally great exprience. The weather was quite cold and very cloudy but the hospitality of Victoria Sapa staffs made us feel warm. Hotel is in a prominent location overlooking the town. The food and service was excellent. The room a little tired and in need of some refurbishment I.e. New bathroom there were a lot of cracked tiles and the bathroom suite old. The biggest problem for us was that the reception, bar and dining room were freezing despite strategically placed log... We stayed here during a spell of appalling cold and foggy weather but enjoyed ourselves all the same. The big fireplaces in the lobby and bar gave the feel of a cozy ski chalet -- further enhanced by the pool table in the lobby. We only spent one night and the weather was miserable. Balconies to rooms got very wet nod there was no door mat on entry to rooms. The other negative we all complained about was the smoke from the fires burning in the breakfast area and lounge. This combined with people smoking made it quite unpleasant. We where there for three nights and had booked a deluxe room but up graded to a suite for an extra 50 US dollars a night as the deluxe room was very small. Staff were very friendly and Resturant was nice, Internet was very intermittent and the bathroom very average.
