We stayed here for 1 night before our Tongariro crossing and we absolutely loved it. Heather and Peter are the most welcoming hosts and we had a nice chat over a coffee and a delicious cake when we arrived. You feel very welcome and expected seeing your name when you arrive on a chalk board :) The room is very...

We arrived early to check out the BBQ and Heather welcomed us in. Lovely setting with Alpaco and sheep in a paddock close to the house. Spacious room with patio doors to own terrace with chairs. Homemade biscuits left on the pillow for when we feel peckish! Tray of tea and coffee sachets with milk in the guest fridge. Good...

Spent a great three nights with Heather and Peter. The house is set on a large plot of land on the southern fringe of Tongariro - gardens, a creek, a hot tub. It's an easy 15 minute drive to good tracks right in the area - about 40 minutes to the national park itself. The small town of Ohakune is...

We stayed 2 nights at the lodge. It's a very nice house on a big piece a land. The garden( Peters work) is fantastic and gives you a very relaxt feeling. Heather is the boss inside the house. The breakfast and the 2 course diner at night are just spot on. Top quality and very tasteful. The room is just...

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed great hospitality in a tranquil setting. We spent our first day enjoying their garden and relaxing. Heather and Peter recommended places to eat and we ate at one place both evenings. Many people who come this way do so for hiking, we were there to do the Tongariro crossing. We had an...

Had the most enjoyable time at the Ruapehu Country Lodge for many reasons, the main one being the hospitality, friendliness and wonderful nature of the hosts Heather and Peter. They were so approachable it was hard not to feel at ease and comfortable within the surroundings. Appreciated the helpful tips they gave us on things to do around the region...

We have stayed at the Ruapehu Country Lodge twice and I loved the friendly couple who welcomed us into their beautiful accomodation. This accomodation is immaculately clean and the gardens are immaculate. The floors are so warm everywhere in the lodge I can't say enough. We will be back there for many more stays and i couldn't recommend this accomodation...
