It is always a pleasure to stay at orewa beachcomber. The rooms are individually planned with modern comfortable furnishings. It is like home away from home. The owners are always friendly and accommodating.

We stayed three nights in November 2016 at Orewa Beachcomber, and found it very comfortable. Large bathroom, kitchenette, big king bed, sofas, and dining table and chairs as in the advertised pictures. It was nicely furnished, clean and well priced. On the whole excellent facilities, and we would definitely stay here again. No criticism of the motel, but it would... More

Mixed feelings about the location-right across from beach and surf club but right on hibiscus hwy so noisy from traffic. We were late coming in so a phone call later our room was arranged and ready for us. Kids in separate room from parents and jack & Jill doors separate bathroom from sleeping area.

We stayed at the Beachcomber at the start of a whistlestop silver wedding anniversary Northland road trip with our two sons. The Beachcomber was meant to be the cheap option night with the flash hotel when we reached Paihia but it turned out to be just as much - possibly more - of a treat. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, really... More

By far the best accommodation in Orewa. Beautiful rooms, large, spacious and clean. Extremely friendly staff - Jeff the owner was just great. Helpful, recommended great places around the area to visit and dine. Would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Initial booking was for two nights, and we extended to three. Our room was the sea view spa room, with king bed, was spacious with a kitchenette. Was only a five minute walk to the Orewa shopping centre and restaurants. Was initially concerned road noise might be an issue but this turned out to not be so. Staff were very... More

We had booked a room just for one night and our situation was a little difficult and stressful. The young woman Bree who was on duty was incredibly understanding and helpful. She told me which unit was ours and the milk would be in our fridge (loved the glass milk bottle). It was a breath of fresh air during a... More
