Our first B&B and Peg made us feel welcomed and comfortable from the minute we arrived. We really appreciated the information she shared and her sense of humor - we really enjoyed her company.

We loved our too short stay! The house is off the main road, nestled in trees and a lovely garden. Inside the log cabin effect is maintained throughout and the walls are hung with the hostess' beautiful patchwork art. Peg welcomed us warmly and made...More
This B&B features private bedroom/baths. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were set up with lots of functional amenities (hooks for hanging clothes, luggage racks, DVD player, free wifi, etc.) Peg is a delight to converse with, and her breakfasts are among the...More
A B&B on C is a quaint, two story Alaskan cottage in the heart of Talkeetna. We had the twin room with our own bathroom (and the best hot shower in all of Alaska). The owner (Peg) makes you feel right at home and she...More
The room was clean and nice. King size bed filled most of the room so it was a little tight but very comfortable. Chose to not have the breakfast so cannot comment on the food. Peg - the owner was very friendly and helpful

Your question has been directed to us. We were guests at a B&B on C in Talkeetna. You should contact Peg direct and she will be able to answer your questions. In our experience we had a car so transport wasn't an issue. I understand there is a train from Anchorage to Talkeetna. The town is quite small so once there it is easily walked. The train station is a bit of a walk out of town. We highly recommend staying with Peg who is the ultimate host. Also don't be shy and go down to the Fairview Inn one night, preferably Friday when the band is playing, sit at the bar and talk to the locals and visitors. We had an absolutely hilarious night when we visited. In summary we loved Talkeetna and our time with Peg and the locals we met in particular the train crew on "the Hurricane" - Enjoy
