We stayed in Cabin #2, The Munchin Moose. We loved the cabin and had a wonderful stay. Kathy had a nice variety of things in the main house for breakfast, including fresh breads from the local town of Talkeetna. We did laundry while there which was convenient. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend to anyone.

The positives: clean, well decorated and the bed was comfortable. Negatives:the grounds were messy, planes flew over the cabin nonstop until about 8pm, the cabins were too close, and somewhere a very large kennel of dogs barked at various intervals-day and night.

We appreciate comments on our guest stays and use the comments to make a better experience for all. Regarding planes, yes we are on a flight pattern (depending on wind direction). Flight seeing is one of the amazing opportunities for our guests and we are happy to hear the planes flying, that means our guests are able to take advantage...

We stayed in the cabin Wandering Moose. It was well equiped with lots of character and made a pleasant stop on our tour in Alaska . There were choices of places to eat nearby in the evening and breakfast was very good.

We stayed in the suite in the Main Lodge for 2 nights. The room was VERY spacious and had lots of windows for natural light. The owner Kathy was very friendly and offered plenty of recommendations for places to eat in the area. The only thing that was a concern of mine was that there was no lock on the...

This was our 2nd visit to the Meandering Moose. Our first was on a spontaneous winter trip to Talkeetna and we found the accommodations on accident by default (rooms in town were full and/or did not allow a dog). Our first stay we had the Munchin' Moose cabin which was cozy with private bathroom/shower. Basic but had rustic charm and...

I am so glad that you have enjoyed both the cabins you stayed in. We enjoying offering lodging accommodations for those four legged family members.

The only reason I'm giving this 3 star is lack of privacy in main lodge. We stayed in one of the bedrooms in the main lodge. It got pretty crowded in the morning when people staying in cabins also joined for breakfast. It was kind of difficult to take turns to use shared bathroom between 3 bedrooms. However, the owner...

We enjoyed staying in the upstairs suite in the main lodge for two nights and the room was a luxuriouson switch from earlier accomodations in Alaska. We were dropped off in Talkeetna by friends and had to rely on Kathy, our hostess, for transportation to and from town. Tho' it was a ways into town she couldn't have been more...

This was a very nice and cozy stay. The cabins are situated in the woods just outside of Talkeetna, so you don't see any traffic or rush while sitting on your porch enjoying the silence. Facilities are located some feet away in an extra building. They were very clean. There is a little airport nearby but don't worry, the planes...

Only here one night in the Mangy Moose cabin with another couple. Kathy was very friendly & helpful. The cabin had everything that we needed & really liked the fact that there is a separate building with laundry facilities & a shower. Made it easier getting ready in the morning as 4 adults did not have to share the one...
