This is now a cottage rental. It's an amazing place. Lots of rooms, all the bedrooms have en-suites, great dining room and comfy lounge. Our large family gathering thoroughly recommended for large family parties. It's an easy 15 minute walk to the beach. The village shops etc is just a 5 minutes just down the road. Lots to explore and do. Recommend!
We stayed three nights in June with our son, daughter -in -law and baby for a family reunion and a wedding. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and charming especially when responding to requests for equipment and assistance with our nine month old grand daughter and made us feel extremely welcome.Their home is a beautiful Edwardian house which they have lovingly restored and decorated with flair and imagination. We appreciated the finely carved wooden headboard in our room, the lovely view from the window and the well planned en suite. We all felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed our stay there very much indeed. It was a wonderful place for us to meet up and enjoy some time together, thanks to the kindness and very thoughtful responses of the owners.
We agree with all the positive things that previous reviewers have said! Our hosts were charming, attentive and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated with fresh flowers on the windowsill and a lovely sea view. The bed was comfy, the shower powerful and hot and the breakfast excellent. Very good value for money. We enjoyed a tasty dinner at the Golden Lion pub - a 'gastro-pub' about 10 minutes walk from Y Bryn.
Fantastic B&B attention to detail excellent port meirion crockery Lovely hosts very friendly and helpfull . Really nice breakfast Good location on the eadge of the village with Sea views to the rear Have already booked again for next year and the old cottage in the grounds is stunning so i booked that for my son and his family for next years school holls The Bryn is Highly recommended and would be hard to beat///
One of the best places I have stayed in. The room was beautiful with amazing sea views, the antique bed was very comfortable, the decor throughout was exquisite and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect and the shower was amazing. Hopefully we will return.
We drove all over Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. Y Bryn Newport was by far the nicest B&B that we stayed in. We were on a tight schedule and could only stay the one night, unfortunately. The Hosts were extremely friendly and informative. The room and ensuite were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I particularly loved the fresh berries. It is a short walk to the Pub which served excellent meals. Would highly recommend this B&B.
We have stayed at Y'Bryn on two occasions and have been very happy with both rooms although the top room with the view of the bay is special. Friendly, helpful hosting and we hope to return this year.
Village difficult to locate with GPS. A good welcome, a very user-friendly family room. A breakfast of quality. Advised consultings of the hosts.
We loved our stay at y bryn. The innkeepers were very nice and helpful, even picking up our stuff in Fishguard while we walked the coast path to Newport. Breakfast was great; the room was perfect, with a nice seat in the window looking over town to the bay. We'd definitely recommend it.
I found Bryn B & B on an internet search and then looked on Trip Advisor at the reviews. They were all positive so decided to book a few days there before going to the in-laws for Xmas. The B & B is situated about 5 mins leisurely walk away from Newport village centre. It's an ideal location as it's not near the noise of the pubs but so accessible that there is no need for a taxi. Our room was very comfortable with well stocked drinks tray (they replaced our bottled water everyday) and fantastic power shower! The views looking out to the sea were lovely (we stayed in the same room as a prev reviewer's photo) and breakfasts were very hearty. The only v.minor negative point was the TV reception in the room wasn't great. I'm not normally a TV person when I go away but it gets dark at 4pm which is a little too early for me to go to the pub! Having been to Newport in peak season, I think it lacks reasonably priced places to stay. Bryn certainly offers this with welcoming hosts and quality accommodation to boot.…
