We stayed in a studio unit for four nights. For the two of us it was adequate but there were some significant deficiencies which would prevent us from staying again. First the kitchen area was well stocked with dishes, silverware, and utensils, but there was very little counter

Thanks for the review Dale. We appreciate your feedback and recommend trying our 1 bedroom unit that does come with a full kitchen rather than the partial kitchen in the studio unit. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again either at our Highlands Resort location or Sedona Pines.

It seemed far from everything. The play room was outdated. No activities for kids or families. The room was not spacious for 4 people which they mentioned in the description. There was no door to the bedroom.

Thanks for your review. While our Studio units have a maximum occupancy of 4 people, we highly recommend no more than 2 people per physical bed. Our studio units are also designed for maximum efficiency, so you are correct in that they do not have a door to the bedroom. Our 1br units have bedroom doors, and you can reserve a 2bedroom "lockoff" that allows adjoining Studios and 1bedrooms to be reserved together.

We spent Christmas week at the Highlands Resort and were very pleased with our experience. We were 5 people in total, so we had connected 1BR and Studio units. The units had very (brand?) new furniture and appliances - the kitchen and bath were very clean and well-appointed.

Do they have any welcome breakfasts or activities at the resort?
No welcome breakfast that I recall. There is a golf course next to the resort and a pool at the resort. We really rpenjoyed the location. Close to both Cottonwood and Sedona. I would recommend the resort.
