It was just after sunrise and I was on my way back from the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Watching the sunrise at the North Rim can make a man hungry so breakfast was in my foreseeable future. I arrived at the Jacob Lake Inn restaurant a little after 7...it was crowded. The menu is basic and simple. The...

We went to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon the last week of October for a short 4 day stay after being in Las Vegas for work. Although the Inn is no Vegas strip resort, the simple charm, well maintained cabins and grounds made our stay here more enjoyable than in Vegas. All of the staff was great, answers...

you must must get the cookies! truly extraordinary. I stayed in the motel with no wifi/tv. perfectly fine. a little dated. there are rooms with wifi/ tv. I chose the cheaper option. The young staff were very nice. 45 minute drive to the North Rim. 40 min to Kanab.

The big surprise for us was the diner/restaurant and bakery counter inside the Inn -- don't linger too long if you have a sweet tooth. Reading some of the reviews here, I'm left scratching my head. Yes, the showers in the cabin may have difficulty accommodating a 400lb person... just like every commercial airline seat. And in no way was...

Thank you for your review. I think you are scratching your head over some reviews of our rustic cabins because, although we try to give an accurate picture of them on our website, people expect them to be something else. They were built a long time ago, and the showers are small by today's standards. They are well maintained, and...

We stayed here for one night on a journey that started in the Pacific Northwest and would end near the Gulf Coast. It was a perfect stop between Zion National Park and continuing on the next morning to the grand Canyon. The staff here is very friendly. There is a restaurant and store inside the main building and plenty of...

We stayed in the Jacob Lake cabins the night before a Grand Canyon rim to rim hike. There were four of us, and we had two cabins. One cabin was especially basic; no hair dryer, a shower opening that anyone overweight could not fit into, a floor that sloped downhill quite severely, and only one available outlet for charging electronic...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that your cabin had no hair dryer- it must have been removed because every unit should have one. I wish I knew which cabin you stayed in.

When we drove up, I feared the worst. However, our room was very nice and roomy. We stayed in appeared to me a new, 2 story building in the back. For a place with little competition, they did a bang up job. I would stay again, but only in this building since I have no knowledge of the other parts....

Thank you for your review. It is nice when a guest recognizes the reality of the expense involved in doing business in a remote location like ours. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

First off you should read what it says as what you get with the different accommodations and it will tell you everything you need to know about the room you want. Mine had a TV that worked good and internet was also good and I was able to stream Netflix movies. The room and bathroom and shower were all clean and...

This property is about 40 miles from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, in the middle of nowhere. The canyon lodging was full so we made online reservations at Jacob Lake Inn website - only availability was cabins. The website describes their cabins as "historic" ... they are really just old and dilapidated. For about $125, you get a...

Thank you for your review. I want to say that the cabins are not located in a campground. There is no camping on our property, although there is a campground located across the highway from us. The space at the bottom of the bathroom door is there because when the cabins were built decades ago, the bathrooms were not vented...

We stayed in a cabin that had 2 bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom. It was lovely! The mattresses were very comfortable. It was nice to have a sink and hairdryer in each room. The heater worked well. The restaurant was delicious and the servers friendly (especially Justin). The gift shop is great! It's a super location to visit the North...

Interestingly, I just responded to a review from a guest who also stayed in a cabin and did not enjoy their stay. Glad to hear that the heater worked well- they were inspected by the Fire Marshal two weeks ago and are all in working order. We use great mattresses, but it is impossible to please every persons back and...
