The Evelyn House is quaint with historical feel, homely and comfortable. Secure parking on the premises is a plus. Pool is an added advantage. All the comforts for a short stay or business trip. The gardens are peaceful and well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you a family of 3 or 4, I would suggest requesting the...

The evelyn needs to be known that its part of the Graham hotel. The guests at Evelyn must have their own hate remote controls. Its feustrating to hoot and call the hotel to get someone to cpme and open the gate beyween 15pm & 19pm everyday. Its just a curtesy

Always a lovely stay at the Evelyn. Its just a pity that the rooms, particularly the bathrooms have deteriorated somewhat. Wonderful staff and centrally situated. The Evelyn is definitely not the Four Stars it advertises, but more so a three star.

It's hard to know exactly where to begin in describing the horror that is the Evelyn House guest experience. In short, we left an hour after check in! We arrived in Grahamstown and were directed to the hotel across the road to collect our keys. The receptionist checked us in and informed us that contrary to their own advertising, breakfast...

This was a very cute little guest house very conveniently located on main street in Grahamstown. The service was really above and beyond. My only complaint was the internet was extremely poor, to the point of non-functionality.

We were visiting the fabulous National Arts Festival and stayed at Evelyn House. Possibly the best place in town. Very quiet considering it's location in the centre of town. Comfortable and elegant. The sherry or wine in the lounge was a nice touch. Manager Lana Fourie was extremely helpful. We will now not stay anywhere else in Grahamstown.
