Having visited many game reserves, I can honestly say that Pumba is one of the best in my experiences. That is if you are looking for a lodge, luxury, privacy, game drives with knowledgeable rangers in 4x4's and great restaurant style food. Whether you stay in a bush- or waterlodge, you have the most amazing views, your own plunge pool...

Like a lot of people visiting South Africa for the first time we wanted a few days in Cape Town a bit of sight-seeing along the wine and garden route and a few days seeking out the big 5. Our son had previously visited Shamwari as a research student (which we paid for!) but when I looked at prices I...

We loved the privacy and comfort of our room that had a fabulous view from our deck across a plain that had a constantly changing parade of wild animals crossing it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was of a high standard and served with a smile! The Ranger we had was excellent, very professional and...

Excellent game lodge which goes the extra mile to satisfy all your needs We saw game on each drive which was well organized. Being able to experience and have lunch at the second lodge was a bonus. The rooms are spacious and kept at a high standard and although well appointed you still got the feeling of being in the...

We enjoyed our special Valentines weekend at Pumba game reserve very much. It was a return visit, and as expected, the room and it's outlook were lovely, the staff were friendly, and there were plenty of good sightings on our game drives. Unfortunately, as had happened before, the food was boarding school fare. It's not a cheap outing, so to...

On arrival met by Jade, a very bubbly young lady, who set the tone for our three night stay. Every other member of the staff was the same; outgoing, very knowledgeable, friendly, professional. I could go on but won't. We stayed at the Msenge Lodge; there is also the Water Lodge. What Justin our guide didn't know, probably isn't worth...

We stayed at the Water Lodge, which was situated over looking the lake, which housed up to 40 hippos. Excellent staff. Cuan, our Ranger, was great at pointing out the wildlife on the reserve and his knowledge of the animals we saw was immense. We were lucky enough to see almost everything. People keep saying 'did you see the big...

This was one of the highlights of our trip and cruise. Pumba is within easy reach for a full days game drive. We were greeted with muffins and juice before loading into Land Rovers for the first of our two game drives. Very knowledgeable guide who knew where to find the white lions and hippos for a good start. The...

What a wonderful experience at the lodge. It was my second visit as an over night guest. However it was my fist night at that particular lodge. The game viewing was fantastic. It is not often that one can see white lions. Fabulous!
