Peace, tranquility, views to die for, birds. Loved it. Owners are lovely. I would not stay anywhere else in Plettenberg Bay. Excellent value for money. Almost midway between Knysna and Plett so ideally located for both places as you are likely to want to head in both directions.

This was our 3rd stay at Masescha. The hosts Ray and Angie are most welcoming and always on hand. It is located in the most peaceful of settings with a beautiful outlook and a variety of gorgeous birds to spot- along with the monkeys of course. It is a bumpy drive off the N2 but it's a small price to...

We arrived in March 2016. Have to say was unsure of the country with the seasonal changes. But wow. OMG what a delight. The heat was just about right. The super fresh fruit drinks went down a treat by the pool. which we visited daily. The Rooms were bright, airy and certain put together with local styling. kinda exactly what...

We stayed as a family in Haven Cottage for 4 nights and the kids loved the loft bedroom as a den ,everything was clean and tidy ,large choice of kitchen equipment, good tv choice and lots to do locally . Great deck to chill out in the peace and quiet

We stayed in the Haven cottage close to one of the dams. This is definitely one of the worst experiences of our lives that we will not forget soon. We had insects inside and outside the cottage 24 hours of every day while we were at Masescha Country Estate. Will not recommend it to any of our colleagues.

We are sorry to read of your disappointment but during your stay the region incurred the hottest heatwave temperatures and humidity that we have known in our 12 years of staying here. This caused an increase in insect activity which affected all our neighbors and friends in town , gladly all our guests managed to cool off in the swimming...

We chose Masescha Country Estate to have easy access to both Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The hosts were friendly and very helpful in giving us directions and helping us choose restaurants and activities. It's a bit of a drawback that the estate is rather remote, reached on a 2 km dirt road through the woods with tight parking at the...

We try to be as accurate as possible in the room descriptions and we state that the rooms have fans and heaters provided ,no air conditioning is mentioned. Unfortunately on the day of your stay it was the hottest and sultry day of the year and the whole region seem to suffer. We do advertise as Self Catering or Bed...

Masescha is conveniently located just off the N2 about 10km's from Plett. At one stage we were wondering if we would actually hear the freeway noise, but this concern soon evaporated when we wove our way through the forest and ended up in the hidden valley where Masescha is located. The cottages are scattered in the extensive garden of the...

we probably go back again next year! What else to say... Angie and Ray are really cheerful and kind people. I am so glad to have chosen this place for our family holiday. Find a plase available for a dog and 1 year old baby is not that easy and they do their best to satisfy the customers.
