We stayed for a night at the Grand Africa Rooms recently, and I am utterly obsessed with it. Our check-in was dead easy, the receptionist (Haley?) was wonderful, quick and friendly. She showed us to our room (No. 6) and briefly around the hotel. Our room was amazing, it was actually more of a suite than just a room. Old...

We were blown away by the spaciousness of our room, its magnificent views and the quirky old but comfortable furniture. I have slept on a fourposter beds before but never on one that needed a footstool to ascend and descend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and meals were a delight. I must also mention the vast library. All...

Fabulous three night stay - sumptuous large room with sea and long distance view out along the garden route coast line (room 8). Characterful hotel with great staff who gave excellent service. Drinks and breakfast on the terrace and we enjoyed one evening meal at the hotel. Excellent breakfast with hot dishes cooked to order. Not cheap but you get...

Stayed here recently for 2 nights while driving on the garden route. A really cool vibe and very relaxed but professional staff. As long as you are prepared to embrace something a little bit different you will have a great time.

Arrived today and love this hotel! One of our party is staying in the farm room and it's stunning. Beautiful terrace to sip a glass of wine. We're in room 5 which has fantastic views from the balcony. Yes it's quirky but it's individual and fabulous. Staff friendly and so helpful.

Thank you, we had the most magical stay at The Grand where we stayed 10 years ago after our wedding. It was even better than I remembered. Staff were amazing and went the extra mile. Our room was so beautiful, we just loved every minute!

This small hotel was so unusual, with fascinating quirky details everywhere you looked. The small pool just outside our room was great for a refreshing dip. We shared a bottle of wine by the light of our candleabra in the courtyard. Just one of our favourites in a great time spent in the beautiful South Africa. The view over the...

Fantastic experience to enjoy breakfast /dinner on the terrace overlooking the bay. Rooms are beautifully different and though unusual, made the stay feel quite special. The whole hotel was simply charming. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A Moroccan style hotel which looks very attractive. Our room, the Farm Suite was very dark and gloomy with overly distressed furniture. The lighting was very poor. Our shower was outside and we had to walk over a concrete patio and then hobble onto little stones which was very painful. The staff were very friend,y and helpful

Went there for a birthday lunch on 19 Feb 2017. Simple menu but very nice. The Grand is high and from where we sat we had a beautiful view of the sea and beaches. We had an excellent waitress. Good place to go.
