They have a very nice garden but the rooms are very dirty. I paid for two days and on the first day I claimed the sheets and the pillows are dirty anda she said that tomorrow she will send her clerks to change the cloths. Tomorrow I check out and I asked her to give my money back for the...

El Gecko is a delightful, quiet oasis in the city. Clean, and safe, with the friendly help of Pat and her staff to organize meals out, and excursions in Johannesburg. Enjoyed watching the masked weaver try to weave a house to suit his wife. Beautiful garden, and lots of plans for improvements. Had dinner in the lodge one night, a...

El Gecko is a lovely, comfortable place to stay while visiting Johannesburg. The B&B is in a gated community in a quiet area. All rooms have access to the lovely yard and gardens. Rooms are comfortable and come with private bath, a small frig, microwave and a kettle to make coffee and tea. Breakfasts were lovely and cooked to order....
