Our arrival into South Africa was in JoBurg. Karen and her staff made it a very soft landing. Karen helped us get oriented and her staff were super friendly and helpful. It's a quiet spot in a great neighborhood, full of interesting history. If you are Jewish or have any interest in Jewish-SA history, you definitely want to stay here....

I stayed at Uxolo for one night while in Johannesburg for business and I couldn't have been more pleased. Karen is a fantastic host and she instantly made my colleague and I feel welcome. The house itself is just lovely and we loved sitting by the pool and enjoying our delicious breakfast. Comfy beds, nice spacious bathroom, fast wifi, and...

Home away from home! Really!!! Staff are polite and attentive. Ambience is calm. Neighborhood is safe and easily accessed to all of Joburg. I wouldn't stay anywhere else because the personal touches set Uxolo apart from other accommodations.

We had a wonderful time at Uxolo Gardens Guest House. The neighborhood is lovely and safe, and there's gated parking available. The house itself is beautiful, and the breakfast is a real treat. The neighborhood isn't as readily walkable at night as perhaps Melville, but many restaurants are a very short drive away. We'd definitely love to stay here again...

I stayed at this guesthouse for the first time this year. Karen and her staff really do make this place a home away from home. I could not be more emphatic about how much I enjoyed myself here at uxolo.

Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my three-day, two-night stay at the Uxolo Guesthouse. When we were arrived, we were greeted by Karen, the general manager, and Rabson, who manages the house. They made us instantly feel at home and helped us coordinate both our dinner for the evening and our tourism for the duration of our stay. The staff was...

“Amazingly all of the rooms are very similar in terms of layout, each spacious with two twins or a king bed (optional) and an en-suite restroom. Tip would be that the front bedroom although slightly larger, is a bit more susceptible to morning noises as it is at the front of the house. The back 4 bedrooms are nearly identical, but the one with the added kitchen (tempting because it has a bit more space) gets limited internet access. Other than that... you can't miss!”
