this is my third stay at this hotel and I would definitely recommend it! Now that Protea has merged with Marriott you earn points with Marriott as well. The staff is excellent, very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful and it has a great bar and a magnificent breakfast/brunch. The location is perfect, come to many restaurants and...

We had stayed at this hotel twice previously and felt it to be the best hotel in the African Pride group of hotels. My wife and I have stayed at a number of their other hotels and feel that it is superior in their attention to detail and the general level of service. The breakfasts at this hotel are outstanding...

The hotel looks great, very fancy and with lots of attention to the design. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the room also very fancy. Unfortunately during my stay the weather was (for Johannesbug) quite cold (between 4 and 14 °C) and the hotel room was having only single-layer windows, conclusion: even turning on to the may the heating, it...

Was fortunate enough to be invited to breakfast meeting in a private room at African Pride, it was exceptional. Fantastic spread, professionally presented with friendly and helpful staff. Perfect venue for a private breakfast meeting at very reasonable price.

Rocked up early as our flight was quicker than expected... i.e. 6am. The super helpful staff could see how absolutely jet-lagged we were, and ensured we could get into a room pretty much straight away, even though they didn't need to provide a room for us on our booking, until midday. Was very, very much appreciated. The hotel itself is...

The Hotel is located in Melrose Arch, a place beaming with good restaurants, cafes, boutique shops and malls. The hotel itself has a very modern club like feel to it. The rooms are very well designed to use the limited space beautifully along with some interesting lighting throughout the hotel. It also has fine dinning restaurant on the premises along...

We stayed here for a few days on a business trip. The rooms are large, quiet and the air conditioning works well (I don't always find this to be true in some hotels). I did not care for the controls of the lighting as I could not turn the room lights on and off from my bed (only from the...

We stayed here overnight for a morning departure to Botswana. This a truly a five star place. The rooms are very modern, spacious, comfortable and artistic. Breakfast, the Continental one, will give you more food options that you thought possible. Friendly staff, relaxing bar and dining areas as well as a large and unusually decorated one.

The African Pride Melrose Arch is a partner with the large Protea chain of hotels in Africa. And is now part of the Marriott Rewards program. The hotel is modern and contemporary consistent with time it was built in early 2000's. The staff and personnel could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The beds are new and very comfortable....
