Like others, I stayed here for a conference held up the street at Wits University. The hotel was built in 1895 so you should expect some vestiges of that bygone era. Old can be beautiful in itself. My room was in the “new” building/wing and it was very nice, clean and modern. The main restaurant (Milner's) served a good breakfast...

For a convenient business conference venue, relatively close to Johannesburg business areas and to main routes to neighbouring regions and OR Tambo Airport, the Sunnyside Park is a well-preserved legacy of colonial days, with modern facilities. Our conference was well supported, with technology and catering facilities.

I stayed here for a conference which was held at at the same venue and I regretted booking here the moment I walked. From the ancient, garish carpet in the reception area to the faded carpet on the stairs the place screamed "ANCIENT IN A BAD WAY". No doubt the hotel was classy decades ago but now it has the...

We recently had our annual strategy play meeting at the Hotel. The place is old and beautiful. Quite tranquil in the centre of the city. Staff were helpful and could assist us on most issues. The Restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was very bland and uninspiring. No salt in the rice, the sirloin roast was cold and tough....

Hotel is beautiful. Our room was lovely, bed comfortable, everything clean. Service from front desk, bell hop, concierge and especially their available transportation was exceptional! Hotel arranged for airport transfers and then transportation to different areas in the city. We were very well cared for by (Ernest?) who went out of his way to be sure all our trips were...

This venue is elegant in the old style of the Plaza in NY, old fashioned and very convenient. There is no fault to be found in all the staff; personable, friendly, patient, diligent, thorough, instantly attentive and infinitely forbearing, unflappable and indulgent.
