We stayed at Soekie's place 2 nights, before and after our trip to Kruger National Park. It is a very clean, organized guesthouse. On our return stay, it felt like we were "going home". Soekie is a warm caring individual who wants everyone to feel at home while they stay with her. Meals were traditional African dishes and were delicious.

This was a last minute change of accommodation and I we expected more. The owners are very kind, no issue there. The wifi only works in the office which can be cramped and not suitable for a private conversation. I thought it would be reasonable to be able to access tea and coffee in the guest house as opposed to...

Loved staying with Soekie at Malikana Guesthouse for two nights in November (1st and 6th). We arrived in Joburg and Soekie was right there to great us at the airport and take us to her home. From the time we arrived until we reluctantly had to leave she treated us like family. I was traveling with g adventures and luckily...

Don't know where to start, but this place is AMAZING! First bed and breakfast experience and it was the best. Very warm and felt so much like HOME! Food was absolutely amazing. If we ever go back we will definitely consider staying here again.

The Malikana Guesthouse is located in Kempton Park, about 15 minutes from the airport. It is a great starting place for a safari. The place is very welcoming, thanks to the owner, Soukie, who looks after guests every need. I came in early morning and she arranged a tour of Johannesburg for me before I was to meet up with...

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at Malikana Guesthouse before our Kruger Safari offered by G Adventures and 2 additional nights after. Everything there is to say can be said by telling that we already recommended the guesthouse to everybody we talked to so far (Friends & Family). Soekie and her team do an outstanding job in making your...

Our 4 night stay was like a home away from home. Great hosts who endeavoured to make a most memorable stay. Access to a great driver / tour guide- Timothy was excellent - and very reasonable. Souki and her husband Baurend made us very welcome into their home. Food and drinks were wonderful!

Soekie (owner/operator) pours her heart and soul into this operation and it shows! She is the most welcoming and lovely host, ensuring you have everything you could ever need. My brother unexpectedly had a Skype interview during our stay at Soekie's and she bent over backwards to ensure everything went smoothly: had his shirt ironed, fetched him a tie, and...

Stayed here as part of a tour group, first experience with a Guesthouse (unfamiliar term in US, possibly comparable to B&Bs but I'm not 100% sure I'd make that comparison). Sukie and her family and her team provide such a warm and welcoming environment, and she is just the absolute hostess with the mostest. It's so fun to be welcomed...

If you are visiting Joburg, you must stay here! Soekie's house is the perfect spot to call home. The grounds are beautiful, both animals and gardens, but the true beauty is in the way you are made to feel like family. While the rooms are lovely, clean and spacious, you have no desire to stay in them because you want...
