I travel extensively and Tuareg is my home from home in Gauteng. The venue, amenities and service are 5 Star. Bertha is a genuine and caring host who will go out of her way to ensure that guests are comfortable and that their needs are taken care of.

I always stay here when visiting family and it never disappoints. Bertha and team never fail to give a warm welcome. Rooms and self-contained apartments are furnished to a very high standard and breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect and the grounds are really beautiful! I shall be back!!

I give this review reluctantly....it is my regular hotel in Jhb and I fear it will become too popular and I will lose my favourite spot! But Bertha and her team deserve every accolade. The rooms, the facilities, the garden, are all wonderful and Bertha keeps a sharp eye on everything. Nothing is too much trouble for either her or... More

My wife and I spend a delightful weekend at Tuareg Guesthouse. The room was luxurious, comfortable, very clean and very spacious, it even had a full kitchen set up for self catering. Breakfast was as full as you wanted to make it, delicious and the service excellent. The setting is on huge grounds in a great country garden setting. We... More

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. The gardens are magnificent - you really feel that you have stumbled on a secret garden full of wonders, we had a whole bungalow (or reasonably sized flat) to ourselves. The rooms were spotless, bed comfortable, cooked breakfast at the main house every morning delicious (Bertha the host even cooked us... More

Upon arriving into my reserve 'room' I was shocked to find out I had a whole bungalow to myself. The hospitality and friendliness from the staff really made my trip to South Africa all the more special. I would re-visit this Guest House anytime.

Wonderful buildings, garden, interior, hospitality, breakfast, - and very peacefully ! A mug of ice cold water in the fridge when we arrived on a warm afternoon - very nice ! You will need a car and preferably a GPS to get there and to visit surrounding areas.

My brother and I stayed here during the 2010 World Cup. The location was quite good as it was out of the city yet still quite close to both Johannesburg and Pretoria. We felt quite safe as the entire complex was gated and in a very secluded location off the road. Bertha did a good job being an accommodating host... More
