We have stayed at The Vineyard on numerous occasions in the past however on this recent visit things weren't the same. The service seems to have significantly dropped off, not enough waiters on any given occasion, drinks and meals took a long time to arrive after ordering. Definitely a shortage of staff overall. Seems there's no preference given to hotel...

We only stayed for one night but we could not fault this hotel. The moment our taxi drew up the porters rushed out for our bags and took us to reception. Check in was quick and easy, our room was not ready as it was 11.30 so they suggested that we go for a coffee and they would come and...

My husband stays at The Vineyard for all his business trips to Cape Town. We stay there whenever we are in the Cape. In December we took our family there for a week. As always the hotel is a spoiling. It is elegant and we are treated so well. The breakfast area is sublime - garden views of the mountains...

Stunning setting, you can hardly believe you are in a city. The facilities are tops, service great and caters for everyone. Myogo restaurant is worth a visit, but book in advance. You need time to just enjoy the hotel as The Vineyard is a destination!

11 hour flight, tiresome car hire procedures the a 20 minute drive in unknown territory so I was ready for some R&R. It all starts when you arrive and just step out of your car. Your car is unloaded and driven away to an underground safe car park. You are ushered into a cool room for a warm reception. Taken...

Beautiful hotel, elegantly decorate room with stunning gardens. The spa was fantastic. Only negative was the service at the outside restaurant and the pool bar was...

This is first class buffet breakfast - tea and coffee is included in the price - R185 pp for the full breakfast. Continental R165. Delicious fresh fruit, good quality cheeses and cold meats, fluffy pastries. The hot food is excellent quality - smoked haddock to order, perfectly poached eggs. You can order Al la carte and prices are reasonablefor the...

The Vineyard manages somehow to be welcoming and cosy while having drop dead five star facilities such as spectacular pool, spa and gym all surrounded by romantic mountains and grounds where tortoises roam and there are streams and greenery. Breakfast out on the terrace, in the early morning sunshine, watching birds and butterflies with the backcloth of the mountains cannot...

My husband and I have stayed at The Vineyard Hotel on several occasions and it never fails to impress. The hotel retains a colonial charm but with all the luxuries, as well as a charming homely feel. The location is excellent: set out of the city centre, and in the lovely suburb of Claremont/Newlands, the hotel is situated on the...

Excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Good rooms and attentive room staff. Travel desk staff also very helpful. Set in beautiful grounds with views of Table Mountain. Excellent location in a quiet suburb with plenty of restaurants near by. A very enjoyable stay.
