stern reception , no soap , facilities sloppy , windows broken, poor lighting, no bath mats for safety, awkward tea service , bad looks , beds sommer ok. Nothing is like on the website I went there winter and they told us that they don't have blankets and they gave us an old one. Furthermore you told us that we would get a Kitchener and there was no such your rooms look nothing like what they looked like on the website which is false advertising and rest assured... More

Wow, given the low rates have to say I did not expect that much so was pleasantly surprised with the facilities as well as the friendliness of the staff. When you check-in you are greeted by cigarette smoke and the smell of stale cigarette smoke at the reception. I was allocated room 13. When researching accommodation in South Africa, we were cringing at the prices of lodges and B & Bs. We found the Desert Oasis online and didn't know what to expect for 300 ZAR ($36 USD)/night/double room. We were very pleasantly surprised! Nice location, nice design. The place was very clean inside, but poor materials and workmanship take the clean feeling down significantly. The place is also under construction, with rubble all over the show. For convenience sake, I will probably use the place again.
