We've heard about "The Orient" boutique hotel and it's reputed "Mosaic" restaurant via a magazine. My husband decided to surprise me by celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary at this luxurious place. He knows "it's a perfect place" as I have worked in one of the luxury hotels in Paris and I confirm that he is right: this is one of...

We stayed at the Orient Private Hotel for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We chose the venue deliberately to enjoy the best of Restaurant Mosaic, the signature and award winning restaurant of the hotel. From the moment we entered the gates of the estate until we left on Sunday, we were impressed and wowed in every which way. We...

This was our second visit to this gem of a hotel. It is one of those hotels that deserves the highest praise yet seems to be a bit of a secret. If you're looking for a hideaway in Gauteng that will pamper you and that is serene and peaceful, then this is the place! You can take a stroll through...

The main reason for staying at The Orient if course Mosaic and that will require a separate sensational review. Arriving at The Orient feels like you have arrived in another country so far away from your normal life in the city. It is beautiful and exotic and majestic and the attention to detail is exquisite. The highlight for me was...

Dear PurchaseCircus I am glad you enjoyed The Orient and the Art at The Orient. With regards to the rooms, we have four tiers of Luxury Suites, of which Nineveh was the one your reserved and one of the most affordable rooms available. Although the Nineveh Suite has its own private balcony, we will make sure that during your next...

The Orient hotel must be one of my most favourite experiences ( Moroccan and Eastern Style ) with regard to accommodation and the restaurant. The suite we had was stunning with all the Grandeur and luxury which I loved. Perfect wine pairing and non-alcoholic beverages with the food which was a masterpiece of note. Each course was like eating an...

We were advised to stay the night at the Orient Boutique Hotel if we had diner at the Mosaic Restaurant. Whilst the meal at Mosaic stole the show, the Hotel was the plum in the pudding or the cherry on the top. We stayed in the Katmandu suite. The hotel is Moorish in design, the furnishings sumptuous, eclectic with an...

Stunning interpersonal engagement from the chef Chantel Dartnell. Food was excellent and service great. Movie house a great venue, and the sculpture museum the cherry on the top. Will be going back there soon! Look forward to it.

Chantel and her mom Marie have created a place here that everyone should experience at least once. The hotel and surrounds transfer you to an otherworldly experience. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Great, priceless art, brilliant staff, quiet surroundings, beautiful (mostly indigenous) trees in the lush garden and tasteful touches throughout make for something truly special. Don't miss out on...

I have read the previous review regarding the person’s unannounced visit. We are regulars at Restaurant Mosaic and The Orient for the past 6 years. We love fine dining and enjoy Chantel’s award winning cuisine immensely. The gourmet wine tasting evenings is something we try not to miss - the attention to detail during these evenings is simply outstanding. We...

Super impressed with this hotel. Decided to stay here for one night after a long flight from Hong Kong before my trip to Ghana. Aside from the gorgeous decor, was happy with the fabulous food (including breakfast, most breakfast at even luxury hotels are pretty boring affairs, not here.) Service was wonderful and felt like visiting a friend's house (palatial...
