My wife and I have stayed at Essenwood House three times now, and every time has been wonderful. The house is beautiful and the location perfect, but the main attraction for us as been the welcome afforded us by the home's owners John and Paddy. We are a (relatively) young couple from Cape Town via England who have two young...

My husband and I recently spent 12 nights in Essenwood House and highly recommend this immaculate B&B. The location is very practical, you can reach the beaches and all the major Highways within minutes. Our hosts made every effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We had a beautiful, large room on the first floor, it was worth the...

This is this best place ever to stay if you're in Durban. So close to town and all the lovely restaurants and yet so secluded and quiet you could be in the middle of the country. Our room was a beautiful , cool , large colonial room, with amazing views over the town. I spent a lovely morning relaxing by...
