Great value for money - centrally located, but still nice & quiet with easy access to restaurants and local supermarket. Less than a 5 minute walk to both. Lillian was welcoming, friendly & helpful - she's the magic ingredient.

I have traveled to many places across South Africa and I can honestly say Mythai is the best! The wonderful housekeeper Cissella made my stay a breeze. The manageress Lillian is so very helpful and the owners Rod and Carol are always keen to impart their excellent knowledge of Durban and KZN. The property closely resembles a Thai garden/jungle and...

We really enjoyed our stay here!! Lillian was the perfect host, giving great advice about places to visit and how to get around. The rooms and public areas are all really comfortable and the pools were just perfect for cooling down in the high heat and humidity! This is actually one of my "best kept secrets". I have been a traveller for many years and always seek those off the beaten track for lodging out of the mainstream tourism highways. Mythai is just what the doctor ordered. It is extremely private and hidden between two roads in a pan handle. The vegetation in and around the accommodation...

I booked a room at Mythai Guesthouse after coming across it on TripAdvisor. It was a lovely accommodation and within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants/bars on Florida Rd. Lillian was a wonderful manager and made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of during our stay. We loved it there!

We were two couples and stayed there from 2016/02/28 to 2016/03/03. Beautiful spacious rooms and a calming natural atmosphere. Great hospitality by Lilian and her staff. I will certainly go back. This guesthouse is central to everything - beaches, Moses Mabhida, shoppoing centers, restaurents and many more. Our stay was great.

Beautiful setting, tastefully decorated with a warm feel. Happy to have happened across this gem online! Loads of restaurants close by. Owner is friendly and most helpful. Tranquil gardens are truly reminiscent of Thailand.

Stayed there for a weekend in November and it is such a peaceful place, and the breakfast is amazing. Great value for money, really close to shops and restaurants and Lillian was a lovely host. I'll be sure to visit again in time and time again.

Stayed for a week over Christmas and were looked after very well by Lilian and her staff. The guesthouse covers three floors climbing up the side of a Morningside hill, with all the rooms nestled within the palms, wooden stairs and decks of a Thai-themed home. Breakfast by the pool was lovely - cereal, fresh fruit and warm cakes supplemented...
