My family and I traveled here in December to spend some quality time together. I won't be rushing back to this establishment anytime soon. The staff are very friendly but the upkeep of the grounds is very poor. The amount of litter that we saw was terribly. The bins were overflowing and weren't emptied in the 5 days that we...

Took my brother and family here about 5 years ago. Very impressive and far superior to Shakaland We met n the car park and was very impressed the way they included the children My nephew was made a chief another little girl beat the drum for us to be accepted to enter the kraal. This review is for the DumaZulu Cultural Village. Although there is a sincere effort by the presentations to teach you about the Zulu culture, everything seemed a little fake and forced. We did come away with more knowledge of what the Zulu tribes and tradions were like, but not that much was really presented. Felt almost like a set up....

Our group visited the Cheetah breeding facility next door & stayed the night at DumaZulu. What beautiful rooms. They are traditional round Zulu buildings and the colors & designs are each representative of a specific regional Zulu tribe. Very roomy and the only place I stayed that actually provided a power strip for charging all your little gadgets!! Very nice...

The Zulu people played an important part in South Africian history and this cultural site aims to keep their cultural traditions alive and to share it with visitors. We were greeted by chief who speaks no English but effectively taughtvus some basic Zulu words in an extremely fun way. We then joined Zulu guide who took us through the the...

We arrived early for our tour and were told to look around the shop - the shop is full of stuff you can get anywhere and everywhere in South Africa but it is a way to kill 5 minutes. We loitered around a while longer before we started the tour. The tour guide seemed rather bored during the tour -...

The lodge facilities were very spreadout, with the rooms being some 400 metres from the Restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, so not sure how we would have gone in the wet season. The room itself was very large, with the high ceiling/roof making it difficult for the old air conditioner to have any impact - we spent a rather...

We came to the village at 7:30. After buying the Zulu village tour we wanted to drink a cup of coffee. We went to the bar area where the owner was. He told us to sit at the breakfast tables and he will tell his girls to bring us some coffee. Then he poured himself some . The ladies were...

Stayed a night, camping. Very quiet, only guests. It feels like a little Oasis in middle of nowhere. Friendly lady receiving us, and got a meal cooked despite being rather late. Bushbabies are right at camp and can be seen from close. The pool area is very nice. All is well maintained, clean and good ablutions. Fair value. It is...

This venue was able to accommodate my learners. They were able to learn more about our culture and I recommend it to other people who want to explore Zulu culture and experience. Their rooms are excellent with safe and air-conditioning.
