Me and my family enjoyed our stay at the Moontide Guest House so much due to the caring staff, the excellent location and the perfect calm and peaceful atmosphere that reigns the premises! A place definitely worth to spend several days and decide on either activities or just gazing at the lake and reading a book.

A warm welcome awaits you as you turn up at this hideaway. The chalets are well appointed with all mod cons. Tim is most helpful with information about what to do and where to go and the staff are friendly and provide a good breakfast. Sitting on the side of the lagoon for a sundowner or breakfast is a real...

My wife and I spent a fabulous week here over the New Year holidays; just an awesome place with great and incredibly friendly management and staff. Added benefit (among lots of others) two great dogs and two very cool cats. (We were able to take long beach walks with the dogs which was one of the the highlights of our...

A great location for the view over the lagoon, ambience and for sightseeing at that end of the Garden Route. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful, service was good, and the breakfast each day was excellent. We had the cottage just inside the entrance with its own private garden, which was lovely (it has an attached room so...

Thank you for taking the trouble to write a review. Part of the charm of Moontide is that it is situated amongst 400 year old Milkwood trees. These trees are protected, and even if we hated them we could do nothing about them. But we love them! The problems you experienced with the room were mostly sorted out in October/...

To start with the positives: the location is brilliant, breakfast enjoyable and the owners and staff consistently cheerful and helpful, but... We were booked into Moon Shadow 1 and 2, which looked very smart on the website. Reality was rather disappointing. These two rooms appear to be converted garages, i.e. dark, dank and overlooking the car park: perfect for a...

We were most concerned to read this review, as we recall the guests and the occasion well, it having been an unseasonably humid few days. Humidity, as anyone who has lived in such a climate knows, does make fabrics clammy. It is not at all usual in Wilderness, thank heavens. We thoroughly clean rooms daily. Every room is freshly made...

What a wonderful place to stay! Quirky and comfortable with tremendous views and the owners went out of their way to be so helpful. Added bonus was the company of siamese cat on our bed at night - home from home!

We just love Moontide because of its location and great service. We will keep on coming back whenever possible as it feels as if yourr on some romantic island. So please do yourselves a favour and visit them. Another thing - Moontide is close to the beach and restaurants but still very quiet and serene. One of my favourites

We spent two nights at Moontide Guest House. From the time we arrived we felt relaxed and welcome. We stayed in the Treetops room with its outside shower and deck overlooking the Wilderness Lagoon - BEAUTIFUL! The Wilderness Village is within walking distance from Moontide with some good restaurants.
