We had a most enjoyable stay. Fairy Knowe Hotel is in great location. From our room, a grass verge ran down to the lagoon - outstanding, tranquil, views! We especially appreciated the excellent service from the manager and staff. Fairy Knowe is an elderly lady now and shows the signs but much the needed renovations have started. Recommended.
We had a beautiful stay at Fairy Knowe right from the booking process through to the day we left. Derick assisted us and we found him to be an absolute star. He is polite and extremely courteous in his conduct. The location is perfectly beautiful and tranquil and I would certainly recommend for a quiet break away. The breakfast was great and I would like to compliment the restaurant staff for their friendly yet professional conduct. And thanks to the chef for sharing his recipe for the most amazing chocolate pecan nut loaf. We loved every moment of our stay and will be popping by when we pass your way again.
Great venue, great service, friendly and helpful staff. They have it all, the river, the mountains, the lakes, the moderate climate, nature trails. The hotel has character and is entrenched in a rich history. Awesome place and awesome stay!
This hotel has been around forever, and I truly mean forever! Hence some of the furniture and buildings require an urgent upgrade. The staff are very pleasant, friendly and polite. As I require a plug point next to the bed, Reception loaned me an extension lead. The bed was comfy and we had a lovely balcony to sit in peace and quiet watching the river and paddlers going by. There is a fridge in the room and tea/coffee facilities. The dining room is great and food was good.. The swimming pool was ideal for cooling off on a hot day and one can hire canoes etc. onsite. Eden Adventures also operates from here which makes this a great starting point for a Garden Route experience.
The hotel was very well priced and in a beautiful location. Breakfast was fab, and the children loved the games room. Seeing that the beaches were closed due to Covid-19, we were so spoilt to be able to have a pool and the river at our disposal. We had a lovely time, very relaxing. Rooms were serviced every day, linen and towels were spotless. We will come again!
