Makutsi was a great introduction to South African safaris. We saw plenty of animals, the Rondavels were great to stay in, very cool even on a hot day, the staff were lovely and so was the food! All of the guides are very knowledgeable. We had an awesome time and would recommend Makutsi to anyone, especially families. Thank you for...

This is where we saw the Big 4 in one day!...Amazing place, an oasis in the dry low Veldt...it is amazing that you can find a place so lush & green yet so close to the Kruger Park.( we were there in the shocking current drought). Pleasingly this is not a glitzy place for the over pampered and is a...

Thank you so much for your kind words and positive review. Nothing pleases us more than a happy client, and it is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Makutsi so much. Had a great time seeing and photographing the Big Five, along with all the other animals. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation or roundovels were spacious and immaculately kept. The meals were great and everyone sharing the two big tables made for friendly conversation. The kitchen staff are to be commended for the delicious and varying meals...

Spent 7 days in this camp it's one shared with wildlife, no fences so it's not surprising to see animals walking past your hut. You can walk freely between 7am and5.30 , then you can do whatever, the day night drive are excellent. Met lovely staff. Ate local food which was yummy. The sleeping quarters, rondavels, were clean and serviced...

Lovely family oriented lodge. Great game viewing, wonderful staff and lovely accommodation. Guides are very knowledgeable and full of information. Breakfast served outside on the lawns was always lovely and dinner was always nice. Would be improved if they provided bottled water and a better lunch menu. Swimming pool is great for kids and the library wifi area was always...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We are very happy to hear that you have enjoyed your stay with us. We count ourselves very lucky to have such a healthy, natural mineral spring on Makutsi, and since this water is as good as any other bottled water, we only sell bottled "sparkling" water. Of...

We spent a week at Makutsi and it will be an experience I will never forget. Family owned and run, we were made feel welcome as soon as we arrived until we left when we felt like part of Makutsi ourselves.
