We have always wondered about this quaint little camp.... a few camp sites and only 5 bungalows... Despite the view on Malelane town, you also have a great direct view on the Crocodile River and very good birding. Will definitely return. Well worth the effort....More

Although in view of the industry of Malelane town across the river we turned our backs on that and at night it was beautiful looking into the bush at ellies passing by next to the fence. Only 2 campsites have good shade but during the...More

Although it took a long exchange of emails to book it through the website of San parks, it was worth it. Air conditioning was specially appreciated. The bungalows we stayed managed to host 4 people each in the same room. It felt like a hostel...More

Although familiar with the area, this is the first time I stayed at the satellite camp. Being a satellite camp you don't have access to a shop, restaurant or fuel at the camp but you can always drive to Berg-en-Dal to stock up if needed....More

    About
    Hotel description
Malelane Camp can be found where the rolling fields of sugar cane of the neighbouring farms and the majestic savannah of the Kruger National Park are separated by the powerful Crocodile River. The camp is unique because it is the only camp to be placed on a boundary, the southern border of the Kruger National Park. Malelane camp has the added benefit of being a very small camp, with fewer guests than found in the main camps, adding to a more intimate bush experience. Conveniently placed close to the Malelane Entrance Gate, the small town of Malelane and the N4 / Maputo Corridor, it offers classic Kruger self catering accommodation and camping facilities.
