Based on Trip Advisor reviewer recommendations we decided to split our time in Kruger between private and park lodging. We stayed first at Skukuza restcamp and then at Imbali. Unfortunately, we chose Imbali based on the fact that Google Maps mistakenly told us it was only 10 minutes from Skukuza airport (note: it is about 2+ hours from Skukuza airport)....

We had a fantastic stay at Imbali Safari Lodge last week. The accommodations are excellent. Rooms have private pool and deck with a view of jungle. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are big. There are spa options that are coordinated and occur at your room if you like. The dining area views a water hole where there is constant animals activity....

Pleasant bush resort with very pleasant staff. Game drives excellent with game rangers going out of their way to please guests and make experience memorable . My only criticism is that the Meals , especially dinners are average for a luxury resort,

We stayed for two nights in August 2014 at Imbali which is a private Lodge within Kruger Park. Our room was beautiful and well decorated. All rooms are situated in small bungalows not too close to each other. The bathroom had a tub, and on our huge terrace was a Jacuzzi. The food was amazing (and way too much) and...

The property is wonderful. Staff is very helpful and smiling. They even arranged vegetarian Indian options for our meal. The Safari was truly an awesome experience. Only the location of Imbali Lodge is about 1 hour from Orpen gate - but that is not an issue.
