We have been at this rest camp earlier. Prices for accomodation in the KNP have skyrocketed, Nothing wrong with the bungalow per se, but for R1150 per night one would at least expect a bedside table for each bed. But the worst disappointment was that all gravel roads were closed, and from Berg-en-Dal, there is just one way to go...

We stayed here 2 nights. Cabin was a bit outdated and we felt the floor was not clean (rough tile may not be that easy to clean anyhow). There are few very nice loop roads closeby, easy to plan safari self-drives here, parts of those roads are very beautiful. We enjoyed lunch outside at camp restaurant, when suddenly a rhino...

We didn't stay at berg en dal but it was our spot for breakfast, lunch and a little shopping. The lunch and breakfast was delicious and the staff very welcoming. It also has a gas station. At night they have movies about the wild life. Next time I will definitely choose this camp to stay. From the restaurant you can...

Whole camp in major disrepair. So sorry to see. Looks like not much has been done the last 10 years. Hard to believe no budget available for regular upkeep when taking into account prices for accommodation being charged. Wildlife viewing still great though.

I am a caravaner. We enjoy setting up camping and exploring the surrounds. For camping berg and dal is very nice. Power points a bit far so take a long lead. Bathrooms is nice and clean and the shop stocks everything (just a bit pricey) Swimming pool was nice and clean

I would have given Berg en Dal a 5 if it wasn't for the totally disgusting swimming pool. It's a large pool, and I've seen it in better days. We were there over Xmas, and went to go and swim. When we saw the pool my husband and I were blown away with how GREEN the pool was. I mean...

So pleasantly surprised by our visit to Berg-en-dal! Chalets are very well-priced, clean and fully equipped. Own outdoor barbecue area, good air conditioning. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant was great, enjoyed coffee overlooking the hippo pool. Went on a game drive from the camp at 5am and saw a leopard, baby elephants and buffalo! Self-drive will still allow you to...

Besides being very basic, which would normally be ok, the place is very run down. Handles of cupboards on their last, shower had mould on the floor and wall tiles, towels tired and with holes, fridge hasn't been regassed in years.

The camp could be something great but unfortunately the bungalows and restaurant requires an upgrade and a management change. The bungalows are fitted with air-conditioning but requires additional lights and proper cleaning session. The furniture must be replaced. We were very disappointed in the restaurant facilities as none of the air-conditioners were working, no proper lights in or outside on...

This is a lovely rest camp in the south of the park. The bungalows are large, well situated with privacy. There is a dam which had several hippos in it and an elephant sauntered down and played in the water. Very restful! Nice bar and restaurant and a shop with good variety of food and drink for sale.
